Great! Our tour guide was amazing and did so great with our kiddos. She taught us a lot about the ecosystem and pointed out some really cool sea life. (You can park your vehicle in front of the light blue fence btw. )
Our guide, Sebastian, is a very pleasant young man. He is knowledgeable and sincere in wanting to provide a good experience for his customers. We had the privilege of a one-on-one experience and it was a pleasure. I am an experienced kayaker and it was just so much fun not to be rushed and get to enjoy a “stroll” through the mangroves.
They wanted us there a hour early. This was not need. There were just the two of us. I can see if there was a lot of people 30 to 40 min. We set around for a very long time.
Provided what was promised. Minimalist guide value add. Nice area for kayaking. Rude communications from the tour company. They need some marketing help.
It was a beautiful day to be on the water. We did not see many fish even though our guide tried very hard to find us places that usually had lots of fish. He did point out coral and jelly fish as well as tell us all about the local fish and plants. We got the clear bottom boats which was ok but you don't need them. Most of what we saw was off the sides. I would recommend this trip even though we saw few fish. It was just nice to be out and have a couple of relaxing hours to explore. One side note, if you have a bad back it may not be for you as the boats can be uncomfortable if you do.
We went on a very hot and sunny day at noon. I would recommend earlier or the nighttime if possible. Sebastian made it worth our while though. Good tour guide. Saw a few sharks, iguanas, and some other tropical fish.
Very serene and calm water. The guide was knowledgeable and patiently explained about the jellyfish in the water. Enjoyed it more than our expectation.
Would give zero if there was an option. Booked the double kayak eco tour for 9am. supposed it was a slow day so my wife and I were the only people who signed up. It’s now 20 mins past 9 and our tour guide is nowhere to be found. The person manning the booth previously left with a different 9am craigcat tour and just told us to wait. I called the main office number at 9:10 and the call center person at around said she couldn’t reach anyone. Unbelievable and incredibly unprofessional.
We sincerely apologize for the experience and frustration this caused. Unfortunately, we had a guide no-show that morning, which is not the norm for our company, and the situation has since been addressed internally. At the time, our staff was trying to figure out solutions on the fly because we initially did not know the guide was not going to arrive. While we were actively working to get answers and coordinate an alternative, we understand that the lack of clear communication while you and your wife were waiting at the dock was frustrating and disappointing. We have fully refunded your tour, and if you visit Key West again in the future, we would truly appreciate the opportunity to make this right and provide you with the experience we’re known for — on us. If you do choose to give us another try, please reference this review or give us a call and ask for management directly. Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the feedback.
Peaceful and informative. Learning about the wildlife and seeing the fish under the kayak was very fun.
It was fun paddling through the mangroves. I liked that there was only a small group of us, which made it easier to hear the guide.
