George was a great tour guide for the day, tailoring out day to what we wanted to do. Gave us plenty of info during the day and followed up with messages of other places to visit. Would highly recommend
Absolutely positive experience. We took a half-day tour in Kefalonia accompanied by George, a punctual, helpful, and attentive person to his clients. The tour stops were customized according to our needs and our schedule. Breathtaking views, a stop for a swim, turtle sightings, and much more. George explained everything to us and was great company; he brought water for each of us and gave us a typical island pastry. Thanks for everything ❤️
George – Seven Island Tours I reached out to George after seeing a post on this group. I was keen to book. Enquiries are easy via WhatsApp, but also give him time to answer if he's already on a tour. He seems busy, and I hope he continues to be so. You could not ask for a friendlier and more knowledgeable tour guide. You can book a pre-set tour as on the website or even tailor your own. George is very easy-going on where you want to go, and based on how much time you have, if you have extra. His vehicle is air-conditioned, and travelling as just a family of 5 was super stress-free and has a personal touch you just won't get on a large tour bus. I am sure he can seat 8, but please check. First stop was Argostoli to see sea turtles, and we did!!! One of the few trips where we have finally seen the local sea life. We were dropped off with George right where they were - no drama, just straight in. Then the Melissani Caves. We had the option to do the main caves, and the queues were not too bad, but given we had a small, sometimes too hot, child, George knew a spot that meant we could see some without any queues, which to me was actually better and more personal. Then a lake stop, a picturesque spring-fed lake and waterfront in the village of Karavomylos, just 500 metres from the Melissani Caves, which feels like a scene out of a movie. If you weren't in love with Kefalonia already, this tour guide will take you to places that will have you yearning to book next year. Next was Myrtos Beach viewpoint, which was stunning. George is also a very good cameraman. If you have zero photos of all the family, like most of us do when out, then you will have plenty by the end of this trip. Our main stop was Vouti Beach. George is also a very skilled driver and got us to a beach that was unreal. You will need some flip-flops or water shoes as it's stony, but we were aware beforehand thanks to George. He even surprised us with two beach umbrellas to use. I mean, where else do you get that service? We stopped for lunch at the beach bar Alladin Cadih take cash, as I think they struggle for internet and the card machine. But it seems Greek family-run food at its best, and a cold Mythos at its best. The kids, who were not hungry, soon ate everything. What a surprise! The beach was amazing, filled with locals and some tourists. I am sure you could have George find you a new beach every day and never be bored. But also, it didn't feel cramped or too busy, just chilled. We were good for time, having saved some by not queuing for the main cave earlier in the day, so we opted for two other amazing views George knew on the way home. Honestly, most tour companies would rush you, but it's clear this tour guide cares so much. It just made the whole day feel relaxed. Today is honestly up there with the best holiday tour experiences we have had to date and anything anyone could hope for, and it delivered so, so much. My phone is 200-odd photos happier, and all the kids are happy, dropped back to the hotel. I hope George has a well-deserved beer tonight with his family, as he earned it. 5⭐ and more.
Honestly I couldn’t thank George enough, he took us all around the island in one day and we got to see everything we wanted. He is very knowledgeable of the island and gives great recommendations. He is also very kind and always helpful. Thank you for a great day out George.
We had an absolute fantastic day visiting turtles, caves and stunning beaches - all thanks to George. We went off the beaten track as such and visited spots that only a knowledgeable guide like George would know. George was a professional, friendly and kind guide and we felt very comfortable in his presence. After returning back to our hotel, George also sent us recommendations of places to visit near our hotel, including a range of restaurants. George is an independent transfer and tour provider and I would thoroughly recommend booking with him.
Wonderful tour with George. He showed us all over the island of Kefalonia. He talked about the island, history, food, beaches, and more. We visited quite a few places and beaches. Cost was very affordable and worth it. Tour was approx 6-7hrs.
Fantastic tour of the island. George was polite, knowledgeable and flexible. Stunning views with a great mix of nature, beaches and seaside towns. Highly recommend!
Wonderful time with George, he is so sweet, nice and informative and truly made our day absolutely perfect! We saw a great deal of the middle and southern sides of the island of Kefalonia while on our tour! Beautiful picture spots and interring locations, a great starting point to get an idea more areas to explore if you’re going to be in Kefalonia for a few days and have a car.
This was an amazing tour! Our guide George was very friendly and knowledgeable about all of the areas we visited. It was a perfect blend of site seeing and relaxing at the beach at the end of the tour.
We had an amazing time on this private tour of Kefalonia. Our guide Georgios was a lovely and accommodating host who was very knowledgeable about the island and made the trip very special. He was also an exceptional driver and we felt we were in very safe hands! It was great seeing the turtles so close in the harbour, and the water in Melisani cave was incredibly blue! We then spent 2 hours at Vouti beach which was gorgeous and peaceful. We’d definitely recommend this trip!
