It was an absolute highlight! Mick was accommodating to all ability levels and had so many wonderful stories to tell about the area and its history. Despite there never being a dull moment, it was a really peaceful experience on the water. Thank you for being so open and friendly! 10/10 highly recommend! No notes! :)
Diarmuid was a great guide and gave us a memorable experience on our kayak trip. He greeted us and got us suited up with our gear and we were off. With stories about the area and the island it really enhanced the trip. We spent plenty of time on the island to explore and receive information about the monastery and the Yew Tree next to it. I would recommend it.
The kayaking experience was fantastic! Mick was very welcoming and was extremely helpful. John and Ryan were our guides. They were phenomenal. The kayaking on the lake was fun. Exploring the island was unbelievable. We saw the ruins of the abbey We also were able to see 5 deer run across about 15 meters in front of us. The kayaking experience is something we will remember from out trip to Ireland
We received fabulous information about the lake we’d kayaked and the surrounding area. The island was an amazing display of the lives of the monks who lived there. Our guides were informative, funny, helpful, and kept us safe the whole trip. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wishing to escape into nature and explore places you can’t see from a car. It was one of our favorite experiences of our trip to Ireland.
Mick was on time, had all the supplies we needed and was patient with us to get the fit right on the wetsuits. He gave us a brief lesson on kayaking. Once in the water he stayed close to us and gave encouragement and suggestions. He kept us at a nice, relaxing pace. He told stories and the history of what we were seeing. I would definitely recommend.
