This is a once in a lifetime experience. I was a little scared to start out but then Jaime saved me by tugging me both way. We didn't see the bioluminescent due to the fact that we can't control nature, but I wouldn't do it again. kayaking is exhausting. I did enjoy being out on the water in the dark and kayaking back in the dark. My arms really hurt. I was unable to leave a tip like I would like to, as they only used Venmo but Captain Jaime if you read this.. May the Lord of heavens bless you, keep you and guide you, May you remain covered under Yahweh precious blood. May the Lords blessing that adds no sorrow locate you now. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Thank you so much again Jaime.
Joshua was great! Such a fun experience overall. The bioluminescence was low so we did not see much however would do again!
The bioluminescence is a cool experience, but really overhyped. This tour was full of inexperienced kayakers running into each other in a mangrove in the dark. Way too many people at one time doing two way traffic. It was a neat experience, but I would not do it again. On the kayaks my family and I did, there were glow sticks on the front and back to see the kayaker in front of you, but we weren't the first tour of the night so some were already missing and people still couldn't see each other. It was chaotic to say the least. You will see pictures of the bay, it is not a real picture. There is far less, though still cool. I did enjoy learning, and the tour was ok once you were on the bay. You will see maybe 20 specks when swiping your hand through the water. More if you shake really hard or it was a really sunny day that day. I would still recommend to do this at least once, but have you expectations in check so you aren't disappointed and you know what to expect to get there.
Very fun experience. Hard work but definitely worth it. Guides were very helpful and very informative.
It was a first time kayaking and it was really fun, and an incredible experience seeing the water glow. Our guide Joe was more than helpful helping us in every way possible and making our way very pleasant and fun. He was awesome. We didn’t forgot his name lol.
Over all great. The captains (workers) were friendly, kind, patient and funny! Easy to follow instructions. Good supervision. One thing that travelers should be aware of is the smell when you get there and the sea weed hitting you when you are paddling.
The staff was very friendly, from check in, to instructions, suiting up and guiding through the channel to the lagoon. They were very patient even when some paddlers were a little out of control. The moon was shining bright that evening so viewing the glow in the water was difficult. But a large tarp was provided to block out the light of the moon so we could see the plankton luminate the water when you splashed around underneath it. My experience with the bioluminescent lagoon was subpar but it was fun to paddle through the dark. I would do it again and pray for less (moon)light pollution.
It is a fun kayaking experience in the dark. The water is warm and it is very safe. Our transport driver was funny and very friendly
The bioluminescence experience was interesting but a bit underwhelming, probably the conditions were not the best, still beautiful though. I really loved the magic of the kayak ride among mangroves in the dark
Fantastic fun with great guides that are knowledgeable about the area and science of what is being seen.
