Kauai : Visite en hélicoptère au cœur de l'île

Wonderful experience! An incredible way to see the beauty of the island.

I took this helicopter tour in July 2026 as a birthday gift to myself. There were two helicopters departing at the same time. My pilot, Marcus, joked that he was a better pilot than an English speaker. Once we were airborne, however, I had great difficulty understanding him because of his strong accent combined with the helicopter noise. Unfortunately, my microphone also did not work properly, so I couldn't ask questions or clarify what he was saying. I was very disappointed to miss out on the commentary, which is such an important part of the experience. The scenery was absolutely stunning! I tried using the Maps app on my iPhone to follow our route, but the required safety tether crossed the middle of my phone's screen, making it difficult to use. After the tour, I spoke with the family who had been on the second helicopter. They said their pilot was very engaging, easy to understand, and shared lots of interesting information throughout the flight. Hearing that made me realize how different my experience could have been. For future flights, I would recommend requesting a pilot whose English is easy for you to understand if that is important to you. Given the cost of this tour, I expected to enjoy both the spectacular scenery and the educational commentary. Unfortunately, I only got half of the experience. I did share my concerns with a member of the ground crew after the flight.

This was at the same time the scariest thing I’ve ever done (and I’ve jumped out of an airplane), and also one of the most thrilling. There is no way to see the Island other than in a helicopter. The pilot explained what we were seeing and also flew so that each side got similar views. The space inside is small enough that it feels very personal and VIP. This company does an excellent job in every aspect from organizing on the ground (they make a strap so you don’t lose your phone or camera) to personally interacting with the pilot. They have it down!

Excellent tour of Kauai. Beautiful waterfalls and gorgeous cliffs. Jack Harter’s staff and operation is very professional and well-run, with priority on safely enjoying your tour. A doors off tour is very exhilarating and is not to be missed!

Our doors-off helicopter tour was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience! The pilot was amazing friendly, professional, and incredibly educational throughout the entire flight. He shared so much interesting information while making everyone feel safe and comfortable. The views were absolutely breathtaking and unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Seeing the island from above with the doors off made it even more unforgettable. If you’re considering this adventure, do it you won’t regret it!

This tour was fantastic! Our knowledgeable pilot, Arthur gave us interesting information along the way. This company is very well run and organized. It's the only way to see all of the beautiful island of Kauai.

We started in the morning in glorious sunshine. All staff are very friendly and totally in good spirits! Safety is a top priority and you are always well accompanied. Since our flight was preceded by a longer period of rain, there were waterfalls in many places that are otherwise unobservable. In between we passed small rain showers, which also conjured beautiful rainbows over the landscape. The flight shows you much untouched nature, impressive gorges and breathtaking coastal strips. It was an experience with a lasting impression of what every penny is worth.

Preston was our pilot and he was fantastic! Our group of 6 adults did this activity - 4 in one helicopter and 2 in the other helicopter with another couple. We felt the cost of this was fitting for the time and experience. You're up in the air for about 60-65 minutes and it goes way quicker than you'd expect. It was just AMAZING! Kauai is beautiful! I was a little nervous as this was my first time in a helicopter - but it was super smooth and just wonderful all around. I would highly recommend this company and doing it with DOORS OFF! It was a bit chillier than we expected, I would recommend pants and light weight jacket/hoodie and you'll be fine.

Amazing ride! Our pilot Arthur was fantastic, telling us about the island! It was windy but he did an amazing job driving the helicopter, and made sure for everyone on the helicopter to experience the amazing views!
