Thamel est le point de départ de la visite. Un centre touristique dynamique, il a tout, des hôtels aux restaurants en passant par les boutiques, le spa, les clubs, etc. Vous monterez à bord de votre pousse-pousse à Thamel et continuerez jusqu'à Asan.
Situé au cœur de Katmandou, Asan est un marché historique où vous pouvez trouver pratiquement tout ce que vous voulez, allant des épices et herbes aux appareils électroniques et vêtements. Habituellement bondé de clients, Asan est également parsemé de temples occasionnels et de monuments anciens au bord des rues. Arrêtez-vous ici et regardez autour de vous alors que vous vous tenez devant le temple de l'Annapurna, le temple de la déesse de l'abondance, où Anna signifie Nourriture et Purna signifie Fulfil. Le long de l'allié, vous vous arrêterez dans différents temples tels que Seto Machindranath, également connu sous le nom de Janabaha Dyo, une divinité vénérée à la fois par les hindous et les bouddhistes à Katmandou, et Aakash Bhairab, premier roi du Népal Bhasa, connu sous le nom de roi Yalambar. Vous monterez en pousse-pousse dans les rues étroites d'Asan pour atteindre la place Durbar de Katmandou.
Avec plus de 50 temples et sanctuaires situés à quelques pâtés de maisons les uns des autres, la place Durbar de Katmandou abrite l'un des regroupements de structures historiques les plus concentrés de la vallée. Ce complexe de palais, de cours et de temples, construit entre le XIIe et le XVIIIe siècle, était autrefois le siège des anciens rois Malla de Katmandou. Un autre endroit remarquable, remarquablement visible, qu'il ne faut pas manquer de mentionner Dans les anciens temples et lieux en bois, vous verrez également un bâtiment blanc d'influence européenne, Gaddhi Baithak, qui a été construit sous le régime de Rana. Unfortunately, a heavy rain started early in the tour, making it difficult to see some of the sites or see out from under the cover of the rickshaw. Stopped for tea and made the best of the rainy evening.

Lovely to experience kathmandu in the evening and by rickshaw. Guide was very knowledge and informative. Enjoyed learning the history and seeing old kathmandu as well. Dunbar square was a highlight.

The tour was a great experience and a wonderful way to know Thamel and Durbar Square if you are new to Nepal. The rickshaw ride itself is so safe and the driver is a very jovial and supportive person. The tour guide is wonderful - she is chirpy, talkative and full of wonderful stories about Kathmandu and the culture. She gives you time to roam around personally too, and answers any questions. Durbar square is a beautiful place even at night - lively, cultural, and not very touristy - you get to see a slice of how locals in Kathmandu spend their weekends. Highly recommend.
It was a great night time tour with Bini, seeing some of the hidden gems of Themal and beyond. I got to see some great sites and experience the fast pace of a rickshaw.
Amazing way to see Kathmandu! I loved the whole experience. Got to try some delicious tea and lassi too. Sheena was a fantastic tour guide and knew so much history. Highly recommend!!
