Swayambhunath est à env. Stupa bouddhiste vieux de 2600 ans, dominant toute la vallée de Katmandou. Il est souvent appelé le Temple des Singes en raison des centaines de singes qui y vivent. Le Stupa principal, les sculptures anciennes, le temple de la déesse protectrice des enfants, les monastères, etc. sont les principales attractions ici.
Katmandou Durbar Square est un site historique situé au cœur de la vieille ville de Katmandou. La place Durbar est entourée de palais, de cours et de temples. C'est un endroit agréable à visiter en raison de son importance historique, de sa magnifique architecture Newari et de ses bazars animés.
Situé à environ 5 km de la capitale dans le district de Lalitpur. C'est une fusion de deux religions influentes, le bouddhisme et l'hindouisme. La ville de Patan met parfaitement en valeur l’art, l’architecture, la culture, la religion et le patrimoine authentiques. La conception architecturale classique affichée sur les maisons, le travail manuel raffiné sur les portes et fenêtres représentent la beauté esthétique ancienne.
Le temple Changunarayan, l'un des plus anciens temples du Népal, est situé au sommet d'une colline dans le village de Changu Narayan, près de Bhaktapur. On pense qu'il a été construit au 4ème siècle sous la dynastie Lichhavi, ce qui en fait l'une des plus anciennes structures en bois du Népal.
La place Bhaktapur Durbar située à Bhaktapur, une ville de la vallée de Katmandou, présente le riche patrimoine culturel du Népal. Il est réputé pour son architecture médiévale bien préservée, ses temples, ses palais et ses œuvres d'art complexes. Il regorge de nombreux autres sanctuaires, statues et cours, chacun présentant un savoir-faire architectural et artistique remarquable.
En tant que temple hindou légendaire incontournable, ce site accueille des millions de visiteurs chaque année. Le temple est situé sur la rive de la rivière sacrée Bagmati, qui coule jusqu'au Gange. Ici, vous avez la chance d'assister à un crématorium public ouvert avec tous les rites et rituels exécutés. Vous venez même voir les saints hommes poser pour des photos avec le visage peint, les cheveux dreadlocks et le corps appliqué de cendre.
Bouddhanath est considéré comme l'un des plus grands stupas du monde, construit au 4ème siècle. Le sanctuaire lui-même ressemble à un village tibétain puisque le lieu comprend des monastères tibétains. En plus de cela, il y a un non. d'écoles de peinture avec des Lamas peignant Thanka, les meilleurs souvenirs du Népal.

It was a very efficient and worthwhile tour that covered the main tourist attractions in one day. We had a very enjoyable time thanks to the friendly Dipendra guide. I would especially recommend this tour to those who are short on time for sightseeing in Kathmandu.

Our guide was Dipendra Dharel, a very polite, professional, and kind young man. He immersed us in Nepalese life and its rich history and culture. With great patience, he answered all the questions we asked him. He also shared fascinating details about the architecture of every temple we visited. We booked the group tour to 7 UNESCO sites - it was easily the highlight of our trip to Kathmandu. Covering all seven sites—Swayambhunath, Kathmandu Durbar Square, etc. —in a single day is a marathon, but our guide - Ashok, made it feel seamless. Ashok is incredibly knowledgeable, funny and pleasant - explaining from intricate Newari architecture to the deep spiritual significance of the cremation rituals at Pashupatinath. The van was air-conditioned and clean, which was a lifesaver given the Kathmandu traffic. If you are short on time and want to see the best of Nepal’s history, this is the tour to book. Highly recommend, especially with guide Ashok Silwal, author of the book 'Everest - an unfinished story'.

It was an amazing experience as a first timer to Kathmandu Nepal but I rated it a 3 because I don’t think some of the temples we visited were worth the amount we paid.

Amazing introduction to Kathmandu and Nepal. We did this tour the day after arriving. Our guide Dependra was extremely knowledgeable and easy going through out the whole tour, plenty of time to take photos and ask questions. Our driver Bakhat did an excellent job navigating the crazy streets of Kathmandu.
