Résumé du Kandy City Tour (1 jour) Au cours de cette excursion d'une journée, nous explorerons la ville de Kandy, l'une des principales villes de la province centrale du Sri Lanka. Au cours de cette visite, nous irons aux destinations suivantes: Temple de la dent / Temple Bahirawakanda / Point de vue / Musée du thé de Ceylan / Danse Kandyan / Musée des pierres et fabrique de thé. Les invités seront fournis avec des véhicules de bonne qualité et confortables (le type de véhicule dépend du nombre de personnes) avec un chauffeur-guide pour vous aider dans votre visite à Kandy City.

Itinéraire
Vous visiterez d'abord le Temple de la Relique de la Dent (Sri Dalada Maligawa) pour commencer votre visite de la ville de Kandy. C’est un endroit très important pour les bouddhistes car la canine gauche du Seigneur Bouddha y est consacrée. Le Temple de la Relique de la Dent est également un site du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO au Sri Lanka.
Ensuite, vous visiterez le lac Kandy, que vous pourrez voir près du temple de la relique de la dent. Les habitants appelaient ce lac « Kiri Muhuda ». C'est un endroit superbe pour se promener tranquillement et se détendre pendant quelques minutes. On pense que le lac a été construit par le roi Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe en 1807.
Après le lac Kandy, vous visiterez ensuite le point de vue de Kandy. C'est un bel endroit depuis lequel vous pouvez observer la ville de Kandy. Il se trouve à quelques mètres du lac. Kandy View Point devrait être inclus dans tout itinéraire de Kandy Tour.
Votre prochaine destination est le temple Bahirawakanda. La statue géante de Bouddha dans ce temple attirera certainement les gens vers cet endroit. Quelqu’un appelle aussi cela « Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya ». Sa statue massive mesure 25 mètres de haut et peut être grimpée jusqu'au sommet. C'est un autre excellent point de vue pour observer Kandy.
Le marché local de Kandy est votre prochain arrêt après le point de vue. Il est situé au centre de la ville et comprend deux étages avec une cour intérieure. Ici, vous pouvez voir comment les vendeurs locaux mènent leurs activités de vente.
Le Musée national des pierres précieuses et de gemmologie est la prochaine étape de votre itinéraire. Ici, vous pouvez apprendre tout ce qu'il y a à savoir sur l'archéologie sri lankaise et sur la façon dont leur conversion remonte à 4,6 milliards d'années. Vous aurez également la chance de voir des minéraux rares dans ce musée. L'endroit est un endroit superbe pour ceux qui aiment apprendre de nouvelles choses.
Selon l'itinéraire de la visite de la ville de Kandy, vous visiterez ensuite une usine de thé. Vous n’êtes donc plus en ville. Ici, vous apprendrez tout le processus de production du célèbre thé de Ceylan, du début à la fin. Le thé est une culture économique majeure au Sri Lanka et apporte une contribution considérable à l’économie du pays. Suite à votre visite à l'usine de thé,
Après votre visite à l'usine de thé, votre prochain arrêt devrait être le jardin botanique de Peradeniya. C'est le plus grand jardin botanique du Sri Lanka, avec une superficie de 147 hectares. Ici vous pourrez observer près de 4000 espèces végétales. Outre son jardin fleuri, elle attire également les visiteurs. Le jardin botanique de Peradeniya est situé à 6 km de la ville et constitue un endroit agréable pour rester détendu.
Après le spectacle de danse culturelle, en fonction du temps restant, votre destination finale sera le City Shopping Complex. Ici, vous participerez à une expérience de shopping. Vous pouvez également acheter des souvenirs à emporter avec vous. Après la visite du complexe commercial, nous vous déposerons en toute sécurité à l'hôtel afin que vous puissiez terminer la visite de la ville de Kandy avec nous !
Dans la soirée, vous assisterez au spectacle de danse culturelle de Kandy. Il est organisé par le Kandy Lake Club, où vous pourrez assister à de nombreuses danses traditionnelles. Ces danses peuvent également être vues au festival Kandy Esala Perahera. Vous aurez la chance de voir certaines de ces danses en dehors du festival.

Private tour with a driver/guide. Very flexible on what we wanted to see. Excellent lunch stop. Safe driving in hectic traffic. Would recommend.

My wife and I had an enjoyable full day of touring with Fazeel. We asked for a shorter tour and he was very accommodating to make sure we made it back to our hotel on time. Safe driver which is important in the traffic and the hills of Kandy. Excellent lunch stop with a nice view of the river.

We didn’t get to experience much like locals, which was disappointing since the guide was supposed to teach and show us more. Instead, we only visited two places—an herbal shop and a woodshop. We did spend some time at the woodshop, and I got to purchase some unique handmade items, which was nice. However, the guide was quite reckless, talking on the phone while driving, which was concerning. Despite all this, we managed to have some fun moments along the way!

The Tour company were amazing, specifically Dinesh Kumar who drove and accompanied us for two days. We did the Spice Garden, Tea Factory, Gem Stone Factory and a Cultural Show in Kandy and on a separately booked tour, day two was the trip to Sigiriya and a Village Tour. Dinesh was just Fantastic, always punctual, polite, friendly, knowledgeable of local areas and history and very accommodating to all of our requests. The tours are amazing, the people are so welcoming and such beautiful things to see and learn about. We highly recommend these two tours, and, if you can, request for Dinesh to be your driver / guide, he's a gem.
