Never thought I'd actually see a whale in real life and honestly it was even cooler than expected – these massive creatures just casually hanging out in the ocean like it's no big deal. Dusky dolphins were playful and adorable. Crew knew everything about the animals and kept us entertained with great stories. Kaikoura town is charming too. Absolutely one of our favorite experiences from the whole trip!
What an incredible day with our friends! The Kaikoura whale watching tour exceeded all our expectations. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about marine life and made the entire experience both educational and thrilling. We spotted multiple sperm whales, which was absolutely mind-blowing. The scenery along the coast was breathtaking. The boat was comfortable and the crew was professional and friendly throughout. Everything from pickup to dropoff was flawlessly organized. This is an absolute must-do for anyone visiting Christchurch. Highly recommended!

We visited this place as a couple and had a really memorable experience. The atmosphere was calm, scenic, and ideal for spending quality time together. Everything felt well-managed, from the entry process to the overall flow of visitors, so it never felt overcrowded or rushed. The surroundings were beautiful and made for great photos. We boarded the vessel they had advised there would be no dolphin or whale sightings, the trip out to the edge of the heads was extremely rough people were being moved around, children were going up and down the stairs it was dangerous and not enjoyable. As we approached the edge of the heads we were informed we were turning back as it was too rough, this was the most expensive ferry ride at $260 we saw nothing and majority of people could not wait to get off. They knew this before we left no refunds were offered. I would not recommend this tour or company. Have sent an company
