Expo98 est l'endroit où a eu lieu l'exposition universelle de 1998, maintenant appelée «Parque das Nações», c'est le quartier / quartier le plus récent de la ville de Lisbonne où vous pourrez admirer quelques-unes des plus belles merveilles de l'architecture moderne.
Le quartier le plus ancien de Lisbonne remonte à l'époque de la conquête des Maures de la ville. Nous explorerons les ruelles pavées étroites et les rues où les façades des maisons traditionnelles sont recouvertes de belles tuiles, un héritage arabe dans la péninsule ibérique. La cathédrale de Lisbonne (construite en 1448) et l'église Saint-Antoine se trouvent également dans ce domaine.
"Baixa Pombalina" avec son plan architectural urbain et géométrique, elle est devenue le modèle utilisé dans la construction d'autres nouvelles villes, en particulier dans le Nouveau Monde Ici, nous visiterons les célèbres places "Praça do Comércio" et "Rossio", Rua Augusta ( la rue piétonne la plus importante du Portugal, avec son célèbre Arc de Triomphe.
Parque Eduardo Sétimo: En route vers le «Parque Eduardo VII, nous traverserons« Avenida da Liberdade », les Champs d’Élysées de Lisbonne, l’une des plus belles avenues du monde. Outre la végétation verte unique, il est également célèbre pour ses boutiques de marques nationales et internationales, un paradis pour les virées shopping glamour. Nous passerons devant le monument le plus imposant de Lisbonne, un hommage à l'un des plus grands héros nationaux du Portugal, le marquis de Pombal. En arrivant au sommet du «Parque Eduardo VII», nous pouvons admirer la vue magnifique sur la ville et le Tage.Ponte 25 de Abril e Monumento do Cristo Rei.
Belem est le quartier / quartier de Lisbonne dédié aux grands explorateurs portugais des XVe et XVIe siècles. Le Portugal a été le premier pays mondialisé au monde avec l'arrivée de ses explorateurs sur tous les continents. L'empire portugais est devenu l'un des plus grands de l'histoire de l'humanité. Les monuments majestueux que nous trouvons ici sont le reflet de l'âge d'or de l'histoire du Portugal: «
Mosteiro dos Jeronimos », la tour de Belém et le monument des découvertes avec les statues des grands marins et explorateurs portugais, Pedro Alvares Cabral, Vasco da Gama entre autres. Enfin, il faut visiter le célèbre "Pasteis de Belem", l'une des pâtisseries / sucreries les plus typiques du Portugal.
Le quartier bohème du Chiado a été dévasté par un terrible incendie en 1988 et a fait l'objet d'un projet de reconstruction minutieux mené par l'architecte portugais Álvaro de Sisa Vieira. C'est sans aucun doute le quartier le plus fréquenté de Lisbonne. C'est ici que les rues «Rua do Carmo» et «Rua Garrett», où se trouve le Café «A Brasileira» (avec une statue du poète et écrivain Fernando Pessoa, un client régulier de ce café), prennent vie tous les jours!

It was a great way to see the city. Our guide Jose was a scholar of history. He took us to the top landmarks during our 7 hour tour. Jose made the history come alive with stories he shared. He introduced us to the delicious pasteis de Belem custard tarts when we stopped for coffee! We have many photos and a very memorable time. We were so fortunate to spend our excursion day with him.
Jose is a great asset to our company. He's part of the best driver-guiding team in the country and Premiere Tours is so proud of all of them.
Trip across the April 25th Bridge and view of the City from the southern shore, the church of Jerónimos, the pastels of Belém, the Maritime Museum were all memorable. Our guide was very informative and interesting. His sharing of scholarly knowledge acquired through his research for his doctoral thesis was fascinating and also memorable.

This comprehensive tour of Lisbon shows you all the city's main highlights. My driver-guide, Jorge, was highly welcoming and demonstrated his extensive historical and cultural knowledge with a lightness of touch. The pace of the tour was perfect, combining walking and free time so that I could explore places I wanted to visit in more detail. The tour's highlight was spending time with Jorge exploring the Jeronimos Monastery and adjacent Santa Maria Church. I would have missed so much in both places if I had gone alone. This is the perfect one day tour of Lisbon.

This tour was far from being Premiere!! Showed up in a 1990s Mercedes and the aircon was barely working when we got going. As the day heated up, the aircon stopped all together. Had to drive around with the windows down. Too hot for that. Asked the driver to abandon the tour after four hours of stinking heat. Rang the office and the only solution offered was to get another car and start again. Way too hot for that now. Management flipped the blame to the customer. That I should have rung him and reported it. Thought that was the drivers job as the coolant light came on in the first hour. And he did report it. Ruined one of our last days in Lisbon! Do not book with these guys. All about keeping the cash!!
Every so often, unfortunately, we come across some people that will do and say anything to get a free ride. People are not as dumb as you think they are Mr. DougP and they can judge for the overwhelming amount of 5 stars rating that Premiere Tours proudly has gotten since it started in this business 29 years ago. Your lies do not count. I hope you will develop a conscience some day.
I just wanted to say that we had two wonderful, insightful and educational tours with Premiere. We had a tour in Porto and the guide was very educated, spoke wonderful English and took us to everything we needed to see in Porto. It was superb. Our second tour was in Lisbon with Jorge. He was very educated on everything about Portugal. No stone was left unturned. He was answered all of our questions and brought us to all of the important places. He was amazing and made our day in Lisbon one not to soon forget. I can't say enough wonderful things about Premiere and I would highly recommend them and use them again when I return to Portgual.
