This is a private tour - the guide is knowledgeable and fun! She has a great eye for style and knows her way around the city!!
Thank you so much! 😊 I'm so glad you had fun! It was a joy showing you around and sharing my favorite spots. I love helping people discover pieces that feel just right for them. Thank you again for the kind words — they really made my day.
Fantastic experience. Suzanne is very knowledgeable and able to grasp quickly what my style is. She included so many shops, definitely exceeding my expectations
Thank you so much! 😊 I'm absolutely thrilled that you had such a fantastic time! It was a pleasure shopping with you. I really enjoyed getting to know you. You have an amazing style. So happy to hear I was able to include so many great shops and even exceed your expectations! Thank you for taking the time to write such a kind review — it truly made my day. Please reach out on your next trip to New York City! Warmest regards, Suzanne
Our Tour Guide was supposed to take us shopping for a dress for a special occasion. She was not present with us and seemed to be preoccupied with buying fabric from the stores we visited. We never found anything and we ended the tour early when she suggested we go to Macy’s. Suzanne should probably stop being a guide sooner than later and find something she wants to do vs. feels obligated to do. My recommendation: choose a different tour, no smiles to be found here.
I was truly surprised and disappointed to receive your 1-star review, as I went above and beyond to help you and your wife during our time together. Prior to the tour, I spent an entire day scouting vintage shops on my own time to ensure they had a good selection of long formal and special-occasion dresses, knowing how quickly inventory changes. During our shopping, I actively worked with the sales staff, pulling dresses from the racks specifically for your wife — I was NOT shopping for fabrics, as your review suggested. Before the tour, we had a pre-call at your request where you shared that your wife was looking for a nice dress for her niece’s wedding. I clearly let you know that vintage shopping involves uncertainty (“you never know what we will find”) and encouraged you to keep other options open. You mentioned that your wife would enjoy the experience of looking. When I asked about her size, you described her as “proportionate” for her height of 5’4”. Based on that, I expected she would fall in the US size 4–8 range. Unfortunately, she wasn’t any of those sizes and only one dress fit her that day. I even suggested we visit Macy’s afterward, where they carry a much wider range of sizes and styles. In addition, I again went beyond and met you at the end of your morning tour and escorted you back toward the city. When you mentioned hoping to locate your car, I took you to Katz’s Deli, a recognizable landmark from which you could easily find it. I was especially surprised by the review because you handed me a $50 tip at the end of the day. I’m sorry the dress shopping didn’t turn out as hoped. Vintage clothing comes with inherent limitations I’m sorry the experience didn’t meet your expectations. Vintage stores have real limitations on sizing and availability, which I had mentioned upfront.
Our guide Susanne was wonderful!! We loved her!!! She went above and beyond!!!
Thank you!! This made my day! 😊 I'm so happy you enjoyed the tour and that you felt I went above and beyond. It was a pleasure spending the day with you both. Thank you for the kind words — I’d love to welcome you back anytime!
My teen son had an amazing experience shopping with Suzanne all over NYC! She tailored the experience to his tastes and he spent a small amount of money on a lot of terrific clothes. Suzanne is an expert on fashion and New York and is also a lovely and interesting person to hang out with. It was easy to trust her with our 15-year-old and this was one of the highlights of our week-long trip.
Thank you for the lovely review. You both were a pleasure to shop with. I’m happy your son enjoyed his hunt for street fashion in NYC.🗽He’s got great style and knows what he likes when he sees it.
If you’re even thinking about booking a personal shopping day with Suzanne DO IT. I went in solo, wanting to take in the sights of NYC and sprinkle in some shopping magic. I booked the small group secondhand shopping experience not knowing what to expect—and ended up with a private day with Suzanne. Total jackpot. Suzanne is smart, fun, totally relatable, and so on trend she knows her stuff but doesn’t make you feel like you have to. I showed up with more vibes than style, and not once did I feel judged. She met me with kindness, expertise, and a sixth sense for reading my likes and dislikes. Literally halfway through the day she could tell by a glance or a head tilt if I wasn’t feeling something. “Oh, you don’t like that let’s find something you do like.” Body language baby! Suzanne was gold. Not only did I come away with some amazing pieces, but I also got a dose of NYC history, learned how to shop secondhand like a pro, and met some seriously cool people along the way. And let me just say watching Suzanne interact with shop owners and locals? Chef’s kiss. Her rapport with people is pure magic. I’ll definitely be back in NYC later this year and yes, I’m 100% booking again. Suzanne, thank you for making this solo shopping day unforgettable. You’ve officially spoiled me for life. Erika-
I had a lovely time shopping with you. I only wish we had more time together. I hope that you flash visit to the city was a fun one. Check your email box for a little something. Thank you for the lovely review!
This was thee coolest and most unique tour I’ve done! It was like thrifting with a personal shopper. Susanne was great! She asked me questions to learn my style, then took me to different stores around the city. She then searched the store for try-on options which allowed me to step out of my comfort zone. I walked away with some amazing finds! She has an eye for great fabrics and quality pieces! 10/10 would recommend! Really cool experience!
It's always nice to know that it was worth your time shopping with me. When visiting the city most people want to make the most of their time. So thank you for the lovely review and feel free to reach out with any question you may have if you are ever in the city again.
Suzanne is an amazing person. She is friendly and knows the city well. We shared life stories like close friends! Definitely recommended!
I had a lovely time with you as well. Enjoy your new things. New York has so many beautiful things to shop! I hope to shop with you again.
She was amazing. She showed me all kinds of vintage t-shirt shops and amazing pizza. Would totally do it again!
It was lovely to spend time with you and happy to know you enjoyed the day. I wish you the best in your vintage band-t hunt! You just may find it where you least expect it. Have a beautiful summer!
Really fun and informative. Suzanne listens to your likes and dislikes. Tailors shops to fit your desires. We choose Brooklyn instead of Manhattan. We were Grandmother 78,daughter 50 and granddaughter 25. Diffferent tastes different products. She accommodated us all. Will help you shop as well as introduce you to wonderful places. Lots of fun.
I had a lovely time with your family. If you could shoot me an email as a reminded to when you will be in New York City so I can have a map of better vintage places for you to shop - as I had promised to do.
