Connue sous le nom de « ville impériale », Cobán est la capitale de l'Alta Verapaz et notre point d'entrée dans la région. Son climat frais, son architecture traditionnelle et son atmosphère paisible vous transporteront dans un monde loin de l'agitation de la ville.
Un village pittoresque niché dans les montagnes, célèbre pour être la porte d'entrée de Semuc Champey. De là, nous embarquerons dans un véhicule 4x4 qui nous emmènera sur un sentier d'aventure, entouré de paysages de montagne époustouflants et de communautés locales.
Le joyau de la couronne. La destination principale ! Il s'agit d'un pont naturel en pierre calcaire de plus de 300 mètres de long, sous lequel coule la puissante rivière Cahabón. Une série de piscines naturelles à plusieurs niveaux d'une couleur turquoise éblouissante se forme au-dessus de ce pont, parfaites pour nager et se détendre au milieu de la jungle. C'est l'une des merveilles naturelles les plus photogéniques du Guatemala.
Cette rivière est la protagoniste de toute l'aventure. Sa force a sculpté le paysage et créé Semuc Champey. Lors de votre visite, vous l'observerez non seulement depuis la plateforme d'observation, mais vous aurez également l'occasion d'entendre son rugissement et, selon la saison, même de nager dans ses eaux rafraîchissantes près des bassins.

The place is spectacular! It's just like you see on the Internet. Crystal clear and fresh water. It's an excellent experience. Kenneth and Aeneas are excellent guides, they took us very calmly and patiently and made our experience an excellent day
This trip took 20 hours in one day because of the road conditions and traffic jams. The guide Jeny did an excellent job for a safe trip. I didn't go up to the viewpoint because it would take 30 minutes to reach the top. Instead, I enjoyed swimming with doctor fishes, cave exploring, and tubing in the river.
Semuc Champey was beautiful. The journey to get there from Antigua, however, was LONG. We had shuttle pickup from our hotel at midnight, slept the best we could for the 7-8 hours to get there (they provided pillows, blankets, and waters), then had breakfast with our guides and another couple before hiking through the jungle. Marcela was our English-speaking guide and was awesome, translating for us when needed and teaching us the history. Eneas was the Spanish-speaking guide for the other couple, but was very friendly and helped me practice my Spanish a little too. Once we hiked to the viewpoint (incredible), we went back down to visit the pools above a rushing river with the company of a local dog! The water was a little too chilly for us, but we had plenty of time to relax and explore the trails. We also stopped for food on our way back home and spent more time with our guides, and have so many good things to say about them. They were great! Definitely an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend. P.S. Take some snacks, bug spray and good hiking boots.
Great experience, always back
A long journey but worth 100%. If you have time and endure long journeys it is a beautiful and magical place to see. My guide Aeneas always worried that I was comfortable on the trip and that I enjoyed the day.
The tour was amazing! We left in the morning on a private bus and spent the whole day at the river. It was truly beautiful, I had a wonderful time talking and doing the activities with my guide. I highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for something personalized and with great company!

It was a very good experience, I had no idea how beautiful Verapaz was until now, the tours were excellent the guide is very charismatic, friendly and we always felt safe in every place we went.. 10/10 did not hesitate to recommend them and to travel with them again 💕
