Itinéraire
La visite commence par un transfert en bus du point de ramassage au port d'Athinios. De là, un bateau vous emmène à l'île de lave Nea Kameni, où vous pouvez parcourir le chemin du sol jusqu'au cratère du volcan encore actif. Après avoir exploré le cratère, vous retournez au bateau, qui se dirige vers la deuxième île de lave, Palea Kameni, qui abrite les célèbres sources chaudes. Le bateau s'arrête à une cinquantaine de mètres des sources, vous permettant de nager dans les eaux verdoyantes sulfureuses, de tremper vos pieds, ou simplement de profiter de la vue. Ensuite, la visite se poursuit jusqu'à l'île de Thirassia, qui faisait autrefois partie de Santorin avant la grande éruption du volcan. Vous y passerez deux heures : nager à la plage, déjeuner en bord de mer ou explorer le village de Manolas avec ses marches sinueuses et ses maisons traditionnelles. Au retour au port d'Athinios, vous croiserez sous Oia, l'endroit idéal pour capturer des photos des falaises spectaculaires et des paysages époustouflants.

A great day climbing the volcano and seeing Thirasia for lunch. Our guide was excellent and she obviously had a passion for the volcano and geology which made it all the more interesting.

I Would not recommend this excursion/activity tour while staying on the island of Santorini in Greece

Book the activity to enjoy a sunset on the high seas and not only did no one come to pick me up at the meeting point, but I also had to be contacting them repeatedly by phone to receive a response regarding what happened. Eventually I was told that someone had taken the bus with my name on it and that they took the activity for granted.

Nice boat trip. Swimming in hot springs was not quite what it stated. Jumped into the sea and if you were lucky you found some pockets of warm water. The payment of €5 to access a very long climb to see a few holes that just looked like a quarry in the Uk. Don’t go in open shoes as the volcanic stones & sand will hurt your feet. Great views from the top but you can see them from other places on Santorini. I wouldn’t advise it on a hot day.

I had an email to tell me pick up from my hotel. Then got a phone call to say I should of been at the office in Kamari. Terrible

Nice day but very hot, making the climb to the top harder. Bring enough water, closed shoes and a hat. Not enough places in the shade on the boat.

Great trip pick on time a bit chaotic at port as to which boat you were on but apart from that a good day a long hike to volcano but worth it nice lunch in Thirissia then lovely boat ride under Oia then near coast back to port made better by happy hour. Would highly recommend Caldera Tours.
Highlight was swimming in the volcanic hot springs but make sure everything you are wearing during and after is black. The springs will stain your clothing. Swimming at Thirassia is challenging because of the rocks- wear swimming shoes if you can.
