Description
Explorez les majestueux temples d'Angkor, représentant 600 ans (802-1432) de civilisation khmère, l'un des plus grands royaumes d'Asie. Départ de votre hôtel à 8h00 en tuk-tuk et passez la journée à découvrir ces temples impressionnants, culminant avec une visite au coucher du soleil à Bakheng ou au temple Pre Rup.

Après le petit-déjeuner, accompagnés de votre guide, nous nous rendrons en tuk-tuk (tramway motorisé) dans un village intact proche de la ville d'Angkor Thom et nous en apprendrons davantage sur la vie quotidienne de la population locale. Continuer votre voyage à pied (cela prendra environ 1 heure avec environ 3 km sur un terrain plat) vous offre l'occasion idéale de sortir des sentiers battus et de mieux comprendre la vie locale cambodgienne, ainsi qu'un aperçu du khmer traditionnel. Culture.
Continuez en direction du nord en direction d’Angkor Thom. Ce site majestueux était autrefois la capitale étincelante de l'empire khmer. Prenez un moment pour réfléchir à sa grandeur avant de vous aventurer dans la ville. En arrivant au temple de Bayon, appréciez ses tours centrales magnifiquement conçues, couvertes de plus de 200 visages énormes.
Déplacez-vous à Ta Prohm, un temple situé au milieu de la jungle. Promenez-vous dans les ruines en forme de labyrinthe de ce lieu de culte orné, émerveillé par les figuiers qui menacent de dépasser l'édifice. Après avoir pris votre déjeuner (à vos frais) et reposez-vous au restaurant local khmer situé à proximité du temple.
Après le déjeuner, continuation pour Angkor Vat depuis l’est peu visité du monde, le plus grand édifice sacré au monde et un chef-d’oeuvre architectural. Construit au 12ème siècle, le temple a pris 30 ans pour construire et représente la civilisation Khmer à son plus grand. Retournez à votre hôtel après une journée longue mais enrichissante, qui vous laissera une vie de souvenirs d'une des merveilles du monde.

The tour guide and driver (both called Samnang/Lucky) truly made the experience for us. I was alone but in a group of 11 on the day, they were both welcoming and it was easy to start chatting to the others. Our tour guide Samnang is very knowledgeable and took time explaining everything to us. Thanks to him I felt truly immersed in the City of Temples and he also took some great photos of us. The Sunset mini hike (10-15 mins) and view from the top was a lovely relaxing end to the day and definitely worth it. Throughout the day they had plenty of chilled water and also cold towels for us, all at no extra cost. I would absolutely recommend Journey Cambodia and especially the two Samnangs!

The Angkor Wat was perfect. And the reason I say this is the excellent guide Sak who explained to us in perfect English everything about the great temple. I personally thank him as well as the driver who returned me to the hotel in the middle of the excursion free of charge, because I felt unwell due to the heat. I definitely recommend it !!!
