Cette visite montre l'héritage juif de Varsovie. Le guide de la ville décrit non seulement l'horreur de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, mais raconte également la vie et l'œuvre des Juifs de Varsovie du début à la Seconde Guerre mondiale. D'où venaient les Juifs, où vivaient-ils, que faisaient-ils et quelle était leur relation avec la population non juive? Une histoire fascinante avec beaucoup de connaissances spécialisées, mais aussi de nombreuses anegdotes. Le guide de la ville est très convivial pour les touristes et aucune connaissance préalable n'est requise pour pouvoir suivre les histoires.

Notre point de rencontre est la place Grzybowski. La vie juive à Varsovie avait son point central ici. Il ne reste qu'une partie de la rue adjacente Prozna. De plus, la dernière synagogue de la communauté juive de Varsovie se trouve tout près.
Janusz Korczak est la personnalité la plus célèbre de cette époque à Varsovie.
Plac Centralny marquait la limite sud du ghetto juif. Il n'y a ici aucun bâtiment qui rappelle l'époque d'avant 1939. Cependant, le tracé des anciennes rues reste visible au sol.
Ce coin caché est l'un des derniers témoins silencieux de la Shoah à Varsovie.
Au milieu du quartier des affaires de Varsovie, il y a un dernier morceau de mur du ghetto. Il fait partie d'un immeuble et est un bâtiment classé.
Dans la rue Chlodna, il y avait une passerelle entre le grand et le petit ghetto. Aujourd'hui, il y a un monument avec de vieilles photos. Le guide de la ville aura également de vieilles photos avec lui.

I took the Jewish Quarter tour with Robert and the Old Town tour with Antek. Both tours were wonderful - interesting, informative and really told the story behind the places we went through. Robert and Antek were really great guides, each with their own personal touch, very knowledgeable and both kept the groups fascinated through the entire time. It's obvious they love what they do for a living. Thanks Antek and Robert! Hope to meet you next time I'm in the city :)
We booked the Jewish ghetto free tour yesterday morning for the afternoon in English. Nikki g was easy, email confirmation and started on time. Our guide Robert introduced us to the square and was very clear and easily to understand. Very knowledgable and related the info to various people that had an impact - can recommend this tour. Fair bit of walking but was expected. Would consider other tours with this company if in Warsaw again. Thanks Robert!
Robert was a truly amazing guide. He provided very detailed information regarding each site that we visited, and read poignant quotes and poems from important figures from Jewish history in Warsaw. I left the tour with a much greater understanding of the history of the Warsaw Ghetto. Robert happily answered my numerous questions regarding genealogy/Warsaw, so this was a huge added bonus! An informative and personalized tour of Jewish Warsaw that bridged the pre-war period, through the difficult WW2 period and into the post-war period through to the present.
