Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave lots of interesting information. I would the tours to anyone!
Rose was a very knowledgeable guide and spoke very good English. We learned a lot about the history of Jerez. The other group did not arrive for the tour (not the guides fault) and she handled the issue well whilst also apologising to us for the delay. The website states the tour time is 3-3.5 hours. You should be aware this is approx 1.5 hrs for the walking tour and 1.5 hours for the horse show. The tour starts at 9 but the horse show is not until 12. So you have a couple of hours to kill after the first part of the tour. This wasn’t clear from the website however worked for us as we had been up early to get the train from Cádiz so it allowed us to have breakfast. You should also be aware that you need to make your own way to the horse show venue. The guide will give you the tickets. This is about 30 mins walk or you can try and take a taxi. We found not many taxis available on the way but plenty waiting outside afterwards. One of our seats was behind a pillar. There were plenty other seats available so unsure if these were cheaper seats bought by the tour company. It may be easier to buy the seats direct. I am an animal lover and was unsure about some of the moves the horses were made to do. However a little research found that this horse school looks after the horses very well. They were beautiful animals but I don’t think I would go back.
Thank you for your thoughtful review and for highlighting Rose’s excellent guidance. We’re sorry for any confusion about the timing and logistics. Please note that all details about the services and their schedules are clearly listed in the service description and in the voucher notes you receive after purchase, including the split between the walking tour and the horse show, ticket collection, and directions to the venue. Dear Cheryl, We appreciate your feedback and will review our wording to make the schedule even clearer for future guests. If you need any further assistance, we’ll be happy to help.
This tour consisted of a small group- 4ppl and the guide. Rosalba was very knowledgeable and helpful providing great recommendations for the things we interested in. She gave us great directions to the horse show. We recommend!
Rose was a great guide; knowledgeable and funny too. Easy meet point. Only downside is you have to walk to the horse school yourself with just a general direction; be sure to look it up first and put in your GPS. The show was great--beautiful horses and well trained. Overall 5 Stars
We did the Jerez Historic Tour and Horse Show today and it was awesome. Our guide was Lucia and she was very personable and knowledgeable with excellent English. We wandered in area around Alcazar gardens as well as several churches and squares. Great general historical overview of Jerez old town. After around 1hr 45 min we said our good bye's and walked down to Royal Andalusian School of Art, had a quick bite and then headed to catch our 12 o'clock show. Show took close to two hours then we wandered around the grounds. Great tour for a taste of Jerez.
Marta was an ececellent guide, freindly, fun and knowledgeable . Jerez is a smaller more intimate version of seville well worth a visit
