Découvrez le patrimoine et la culture uniques des îles Caïmanes via cette fenêtre du XVIIIe siècle restaurée avec amour et située à seulement 20 minutes de route de George Town. À une époque où la plupart des gens vivaient dans des maisons minuscules recouvertes de chaume, aux îles Caïmanes, un riche Anglais, utilisant le travail esclavagiste de la Jamaïque, créa un étonnant bâtiment de trois étages appelé Pedro St. James. Dans les années 1990, le gouvernement des îles Caïmanes a racheté Pedro St. James et a soigneusement restauré la Grande Maison, qui a su conserver toute la splendeur de son patrimoine du XVIIIe siècle. Aujourd’hui, les visiteurs peuvent se promener dans l’imposant édifice, avec son mobilier d’époque et ses authentiques artefacts, pour découvrir ce qu’était la vie dans l’histoire des Caïmanes.

George Town possède trois terminaux maritimes : 1. Royal Watler Terminal 2. Terminal nord 3. Terminal sud Veuillez noter que les navires de croisière qui jettent l'ancre à Grand Cayman exigent que les clients prennent un petit bateau, connu sous le nom de tender, pour atteindre la rive. Il est important de faire la queue tôt pour les appels d'offres, car le débarquement et l'arrivée à terre peuvent prendre jusqu'à 60 minutes. Si votre navire s'aligne vers le terminal royal de Watler : votre visite part de l'intérieur du terminal de croisière royal de Watler. En débarquant, veuillez sortir par la sécurité et continuer à marcher tout droit le long du front de mer. Veuillez vous rendre à la dernière tente avec une verrière blanche et chercher le panneau CAYTOURS. Le représentant local vous y attendra pour vous enregistrer. Si votre navire s'attend au terminal nord ou au terminal sud : Votre visite part de l'intérieur du terminal de croisière Royal Watler, qui se trouve à environ 3 à 5 minutes à pied de la jetée d'attente. À votre débarquement, veuillez demander à la sûreté du port de vous rendre au terminal royal Watler. Une fois sur place, sortez par la sécurité et continuez à marcher tout droit le long du front de mer. Veuillez vous rendre à la dernière tente avec une verrière blanche et chercher le panneau CAYTOURS. Le représentant local vous attendra sur place. En cas d'intempéries et d'appels d'offres de votre navire à Spotts Dock : Votre visite partira directement de Spotts Dock. À votre débarquement, veuillez rester à Spotts Dock et chercher le représentant local portant un panneau CAYTOURS pour faciliter l'identification. Afin d'assurer un départ harmonieux, veuillez prévoir d'arriver au lieu de rendez-vous désigné au moins 15 minutes avant l'heure de départ prévue pour la visite. Vous logez à l'hôtel ou sur Airbnb ? Perfect for a warm overcast day. These gardens are very well done and beautiful. Whether you are a big plant lover or not, you will appreciate the beauty and variety of what is displayed here. And the blue iguanas are just a plus.

The tour group was very accommodating when the ship's tender arrived at a different port... they met us there. We had to wait an hour for other people, who never showed up. We didn't have enough time at the botanical gardens. The Pedro St James tour was fabulous and our guide was excellent.

We enjoyed the tour immensely. Our guide, Victor shared so much about Cayman. We all appreciated learning about the island, its history. The historian at St. James Castle is a treasure! He has so much to share - I would love to have him to dinner and keep talking! Queen Elizabeth Garden is gorgeous. The traditional house and the Colorful Trail were a highlight. We saw iguanas, parrots, a snake, and many other local birds while walking around. It is very hot - so be prepared. If I were able to do this again, I would pack a light lunch and have it in the gazebo. Overall - the tour was great. We did not feel rushed and were able to enjoy it.

The Botanic Park has beautiful gardens. We also got to see many rare and endangered blue iguanas. Pedro St James was an interesting historic sight. We learned about some of the history and culture of Grand Cayman on this excursion.

I was worried I wouldn't be able to walk around much because of a recent knee replacement but they totally took care of me. Hall drove us around in a golf cart so I could see everything & made stops along the way so I could get out & see the beautiful flowers up close. We loved our tour.

An interesting way to learn more about Grand Cayman. Very much enjoyed the botanical gardens. I wished we'd had more time there. It was a long ride from our hotel and so we had only an hour to tour the gardens before having to leave for the tour of Pedro St. James Castle. We learned a lot about the history of the island watching the intro film there. Tour of the house/castle brief and oddly focused on the furniture.

This was a very lovely tour. We were most fortunate to have Trisha as our tour guide. She was truly a Pedro St. James Castle historian. so animated and excited to give us so much information about the tour we almost lost track of time. I truly recommend this tour and ask for Trisha. She was amazing.

The Botanical Park is wonderful. Many flowers. Laid out nicely. Not hard to walk through. The gift shop is very nice also. Pedro St. James was a nice historical stop to give you an idea of the history of Grand Cayman. Highly recommend.
