Highly recommended! Fun n engaging, totally hands on experience in making soba from scratch. Then it's cooked n you get to taste your masterpiece with tempura & walnut sauce.
We had an incredible time at this soba noodle making class! The teachers were welcoming and knowledgeable. The cooking instructions were available in English and Japanese, which was very helpful. After making the noodles, we got to enjoy them with a lovely meal provided by the restaurant. The meal included walnuts to create the Nagano speciality dipping sauce and tempura. We would definitely recommend this experience, it was a highlight of our trip.
This was a terrific class and a highlight of our trip! The staff were friendly and spoke good English, and we learned a lot about soba noodles. It was very wholesome to make noodles from scratch and then eat them in a delicious meal at the end! Thank you for the experience!
A very kind local soba chef will teach you. The taste of the soba I made was exceptional. There are also soba-making costumes and pedestals for elementary school students, so even children can enjoy them.
A local soba artisan was very kind to tell us! Guides in English are also available. The region's specialty, walnut soba, was excellent. It is very recommended because it is located in the outlet and has good access.
I joined in between meetings at Karuizawa Prince Hotel. I was very happy to get to know the people who were at the conference with me and to introduce them to the soba of Japanese food culture.
