L’expérience Istrie commence à Zagreb lorsque notre guide vient vous chercher à votre hébergement. Le trajet en voiture de Zagreb à Pula dure environ 3 heures, nous vous recommandons donc de commencer tôt pour cette visite. Donc, notre premier arrêt est la ville de Pula. PULA - la plus grande ville et le centre de la péninsule d'Istrie. La première mention de la ville remonte au 10 siècle avant notre ère, lorsqu'elle fut fondée par une ancienne tribu. La ville était bien connue des voyageurs et des marins grecs, elle a donc été incluse dans certains mythes grecs. Les Romains ont rendu la ville forte au 1er siècle et vous explorerez avec nous les vestiges de cette époque. Il est bien connu pour son architecture romaine et le plus célèbre d'entre eux est Arena, l'un des amphithéâtres les mieux conservés au monde, les nombreuses portes de la ville (Arc des Sergi, porte d'Hercule…) ou le temple d'Auguste. Après 45 minutes de route, vous arrivez à ROVINJ. La ville a également été fondée par les tribus d'Istrie. Il a été construit sur une petite île proche du continent et a été relié au 18ème siècle. Il a été gouverné pendant 5 siècles par Venise, donc les langues italienne et croate sont officielles dans la ville. Pendant cette période, les murs ont été construits autour de la ville et les vestiges sont visibles, même aujourd'hui. Rovinj est un véritable joyau et adoré des touristes car en réalité, à chaque pas que vous faites, vous êtes obligé de prendre une autre photo. Encore 45 minutes en voiture et nous nous trouvons à POREČ - la vieille ville de presque 2000 ans est surtout connue pour sa basilique euphrasienne datant de 1997. classée au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. C'est l'une des destinations touristiques les plus populaires d'Istrie. Vous pouvez encore remarquer l'influence romaine et l'architecture de la ville. Vous marcherez dans les rues principales, encore préservées dans leur forme originale.

Our guide picked us up at 7:30am and we enjoyed a full day in beautiful Istria! Rovinj was absolutely wonderful and we were afforded a good amount of time to tour it alone before proceeding to Pula. Our guide was caring, explained the history of Croatia in detail and ensured our constant wellbeing. 100% recommended!
Tonya picked up our family of 5 from our apartment in Zagreb in a private comfortable van. This is a day trip but ABSOLUTELY worth it! The history in these 3 cities is unbelievable! You feel like you are in Italy! We walked through all the cities, saw a bunch of the main churches, basilica and had lunch at an Italian restaurant right on the water with a beautiful view! Our favorite part was the Colosseum. We have seen so many all over the world, but this was very intact, and they are always so breathtaking in view. We ended the night getting hot coco and letting our children enjoy the Christmas village in the square. Tonya was so wonderful with our children!

I had a fantastic time with Tanya, who very quickly became a very good friend. She was both knowledgeable of the Istrian area and very friendly/easy to get on with. Tanija was a most excellent guide. It was quite a drive from Zagreb, but so worth it to see the old Illyria of Rome. The colosseum was incredible...

It was a long trip and truth to tell, there was not much to see. Our guide, Milan, was very nice but he didn't really say much about each destination. He was nice, friendly, funny, accommodating but I didn't learn much about each place because he gave us very little or no info about each place we visited. He drove us to all these places, let us off, told us how many minutes we had in each place and that was it! I could have given this tour a miss!
Thank you for your review. I understand that the tour is long. We wrote in our explanation of the tour that the tour is minimum 12 hours. The thing is that since we know when someone has only one day to get to know a destination we try to show as many spots possible. Sometimes it makes the day longer but we think its worth it. Pick up at your hotel and your convenience time to your request. Totally private and you can re arranged your itinerary & places you like to spend more time. Got to see 3 great places in a day. My driver/guide was so informative with the history and surrounding and I learned a lot in just a day.

Our private tour of Istria was a great experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and offered us options of sites to visit based on our interests. Rovinj was the jewel of the trip. A beautiful Venetian seaside town with the feel of Italy. Recommend taking a boat tour to get another perspective of the town and surrounding islands. The medieval town of Hum was very quaint and reminded us of the hillside towns in Tuscany. Would highly recommend this tour.
Communication with tanya was great, she let us know what to expect and meeting time the day before She planned the best day for us and even recommended nice place for lunch We loved tanya she is very knowledgeable and very flexible organizing our day Make sure you book with her in advance, SHE IS THE BEST !!
We went on a day trip to Istria and other wonderful places in the area of west Croatia. Beside having the best time visiting those places, we were lucky to have Tania as our guide. She was very friendly, helpful and also a great companion for our journy. Deeply recommended.
