Le parcours d'initiation à l'escalade en plein air est conçu pour les grimpeurs débutants et pour ceux qui souhaitent faire la transition entre l'escalade en salle de sport et les grands espaces. Nous croyons que tout le monde peut apprécier l'escalade et nos objectifs sont d'aider les débutants à apprendre les bases et à poursuivre ce sport fantastique. Nous faisons une courte randonnée vers une falaise naturelle, discutons de la sécurité de l’escalade et des nœuds et commençons à grimper et à nous asseoir. Vous aurez beaucoup d'occasions de grimper et de pratiquer l'assurage alors que nous grimperons sur au moins 5 ou 6 routes avec des types de roches et des caractéristiques uniques. Les participants apprendront les compétences de base nécessaires pour réussir un test d'assurage dans une salle d'escalade en salle.

Brett was an excellent teacher! Great experience all around! Highly recommend anyone interested in getting into outdoor climbing take this course.
I did the 3 day Mount Baker climb with Miyar earlier this year, it was my first experience with backpacking/mountaineering. I had so much fun and felt so well taken care of I decided to sign up for the rock climbing class as well! All the staff is very friendly and willing to help with anything you need, as well as whenever I emailed with questions I heard back within 24 hours.
What a great experience. Simon helped us get a feel for outdoor rock, and we had a blast. He was friendly and helped us get over our fears. We also learned a lot about knots, belaying and saferty while having fun. What a great way to spend the day!
My Girlfriend and I booked the trip through Viator about a month in advance. We expected to climb somewhere around Seattle but obviously the weather had other plans for us, so together with Sandeep and Glen, our instructor, we've decided to drive east to Frenchman Coulee for the day. We picked Glen from the store at 7am, Picked up all the necessary gear and befor you know it, we were on our way. Even though it took nearly two hours to get there, the time flew by as we had some really fun conversations with Glen and we got to know each other. Both my Girlfriend and I have never climbed outdoors before and Glen was more than patient with us, guiding us through everything from scratch (safety first!). The climb itself was really fun, You don't need to have any prior knowledge about climbing or have above-average strength to go all the way to the top of the rock (in most of the places). And even if you feel like the climb was easy, Glen can easily find a more challenging climb around for you to try. Before we knew it, it was already evening and we had to drive back. We had tons of fun, and next time we're in the area, we'll for sure book another climb with Miyar Adventures (Hopefully the weather will be kind to us, so we can a change of scenery)
