Save your money. They limit the food to 300 rupees, and I didnt really feel like it actually included the most famous Hyderabad dishes like I hoped to try (no biryani!) My guide was good, but was just a local university student rather than a pro. The start point on viator app was different to the one going to the guide, so the organisers are taking most of the money you pays and not even doing their job properly!
This is an excellent tour. Alok was very knowledgeable and took the extra effort to ensure that we are safe and comfortable. The crowds and traffic can get overwhelming. In the food tour, he ensured that he took us for very unique things that we had not tried before. I would highly recommend this tour.
We had a wonderful variety of food guided by a very knowledgeable guide. He considered the hygiene and our tastes when selecting food for us to sample.
Amazing experience. The guide was fantastic and I tasted local and Indian food. We called with the cookers, took photos and walked to incredible Hyderabad old city.
We have just finished our street food tour experience in Hyderabad and I would love to express my disappointment with the service provided. In the tour’s description, they outline two key things: 1. They ‘designed this amazing experience for you with an intention to take you to these places for food tasting.’ 2. There will be a ‘Highly trained and friendly Storyteller/ Guide’ We feel that neither of these things were met. During the food tour it was clear that there was no clear plan on where we were going or what we were going to eat. There was a lot of time spent walking around with our guide asking people for directions or where to get certain foods. Although the food we did try was delicious, the majority of our time was spent aimlessly walking around in the heat. Secondly, our guide was not highly trained and not a storyteller. We did not learn much about the food and history of Hyderabad which is a shame. He was extremely friendly and clearly doing his best. We enjoyed spending time with him but the experience provided was not adequate. When we expressed these concerns with our guide at the end, he told us he had only been informed about this job at 9pm last night. He also said that he did not really have enough time to plan his route. This indicates not only a lack of ‘high training’ but also tells us that he is expected to come up with routes himself but that there is no experience designed by the company. I have since reached out to the organisers but they have ignored my messages which is a shame.
