Ressemblant à quelque chose tiré des imaginations cauchemardesques du dernier thriller de Stephen King, le parc aquatique abandonné de Ho Thuy Tien, Hue, Vietnam est un monument inquiétant à un rêve non réalisé.
Vong Canh elle-même est maintenant recouverte de pins et de pâquerettes. Une fois, il y avait une tour de guet construite à cet effet au sommet de la colline, bien que seules des parties de ses fondations subsistent jusqu'à aujourd'hui. En outre, l’usine d’eau Van Nien - la plus ancienne du centre du Vietnam et un bâtiment de style oriental conçu par l’architecture française, à seulement 300 mètres de Vong Canh - est également une destination digne d’être visitée.
La pagode la plus ancienne de Hué est la pagode Thien Mu, dont l'établissement est associé aux premières actions du premier seigneur Nguyen à Dang Trong (Sud-Vietnam). Cette légende raconte comment, lorsque Nguyen Hoang fut envoyé à Thuan Hoa (aujourd'hui le centre du Vietnam) pour régner sur cette région, il fit lui-même une étude du terrain pour choisir un site d'installation. Alors qu'il montait son cheval le long du fleuve Huong, il aperçut une petite colline au bord de la rivière, dont le relief ressemblait à un dragon qui tournait la tête en arrière. Cette colline s'appelait Ha Khe. Les habitants de la ville ont raconté que chaque soir, une vieille dame vêtue d'une blouse rouge et d'un pantalon vert est venue ici pour annoncer qu'un vrai seigneur viendrait ici et construirait une pagode pour la prospérité du pays. Ainsi, cet endroit est devenu connu sous le nom de Thien Mu Son (Montagne Céleste).
Situé près de la rive du canal An Cuu, le palais An Dinh était autrefois la résidence privée de Nguyen Phuc Buu Dao (futur roi Khai Dinh). Cette construction a été rénovée dans un style moderne entre 1917-1919 et est devenue officiellement la résidence du prince héritier Vinh Thuy (devenu roi Bao Dai). Luna gave me a tour of the city. She explained everything to me, and it was very interesting to have the city shown to me by a local. Highly recommended.
We had two guides Luna and Sunny. They were so kind and helpful, showed us some delicious local food and helped us get to our next destination. Very safe riding they took care of us. Would recommend for a nice experience of local culture !
Had a great time exploring different parts of Hue and learning about the history of each location along with personal anecdotes from Luna. She also mentioned several restaurants to visit while in Hue. Highly recommend this tour as a solo traveller!

We went with Sunny & Luna on a private tour today on the back of their bikes, we had a wonderful half day seeing sights, most of them that I have never seen before on my many trips to Hue for example the abandoned water park, Sunny & Luna were fun to travel with & very knowledgeable about their countries history, this is a very cost effective tour, we only went to 1 place that we had to pay admission to (50,000d) all the rest were free. Would highly recommend this tour to anybody who is looking for something a little bit different to the usual tours.
Great, affordable, and safe option to explore the city with a local! I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a way to get to know Hue and its history, but especially recommend it for young tourists to connect with other young people who hold fresh perspectives. My partner and I (age 23) did a half day tour and Luna was very knowledgeable and offered to customize the tour based on our interests. She also recommended places for us to check out on our own. Even on a rainy day, we really enjoyed our experience with wonderful company.

I had only one day in Hue and I am glad I have chosen this afternoon tour with Sunny. It was very pleasant and fun to visit some really nice spots in Hue. Sunny is a very smart young Guide with great knowledge about the place, history, and culture of Vietnam. I recommend this tour as the first thing to do when staying in Hue. I truly recommend it.
