Cette visite vous emmène dans une balade touristique autour de la ville d'Honiara. Se concentrant principalement sur les monuments importants, les cathédrales, les centres commerciaux et le marché central. Pendant la visite, les voyageurs peuvent poser des questions, prendre des photos, demander leur chemin et demander des arrêts rapides. Un guide touristique local fournira un bref aperçu des sites, répondra à toutes vos questions et traduira du pidgin vers l'anglais si nécessaire. Il s'agit d'un circuit aller-retour où la prise en charge et le retour sont assurés.

Itinéraire
Cette option de visite commence au jardin commémoratif des Îles Salomon. Le jardin commémoratif est situé à l'est d'Honiara, sur le champ d'Henderson, lieu de la bataille de Guadalcanal. Le jardin commémoratif est un bel endroit à visiter et à réfléchir sur ce qui s'est passé pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Il est bordé de bougies et de plaques de différentes formes commémorant les soldats morts pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale dans les Îles Salomon. Les plaques magnifiquement disposées rendent l'ensemble très émouvant, ce qui rend triste car cela rappelle ce qui s'est passé dans cet endroit pendant LA SECONDE GUERRE MONDIALE. Il n'y a pas de tombes sur le site, c'était si simple, calme et vert. Dans le jardin, les voyageurs peuvent prendre des photos et poser des questions relatives au jardin. Ils peuvent également s'asseoir sur les bancs disponibles et réfléchir ou faire une pause dans un moment de silence pour rendre hommage aux personnes décédées. Prenez un moment pour les remercier. Enlevez votre couvre-chef, le cas échéant, lorsque vous entrez. L'entrée est gratuite et le jardin est spacieux, il peut accueillir plus d'une vingtaine de personnes.
Le Parlement national ou la maison ronde telle que décrite par les indigènes est situé sur la colline de Vaivaridge. Pour cet arrêt, les voyageurs peuvent visiter le Parlement (quand il n'y a pas de réunion) et prendre des photos. Le guide touristique fournira également un bref historique du gouvernement actuel et passé.

Monsieur. Jacob Vouza était l'un des nombreux héros indigènes de Guadalcanal pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Un monument en son honneur se dresse devant le bâtiment du quartier du chef de la police à Rove, dans l'ouest de Honiara. Pour cet arrêt, les voyageurs peuvent prendre des photos et poser des questions sur la statue.
La National Art Gallery d’Honiara est une plaque tournante qui regroupe tous les arts et métiers des Îles Salomon. Les articles exposés et vendus ici varient des sculptures, des bijoux locaux, des sacs à main locaux, des sacs à provisions, des vêtements et bien d'autres encore. Des restaurants locaux sont également disponibles dans la galerie. Pour cet arrêt, les voyageurs peuvent prendre des photos et acheter auprès de vendeurs locaux.
Situé près du port maritime d'Honiara, le monument rappelle le courage des éclaireurs et des observateurs côtiers qui ont été inestimables pour fournir des renseignements locaux aux Alliés de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Situé au cœur d'Honiara, le marché central de Honiara est l'endroit le plus fréquenté d'Honiara. the tour was eventually combined with another pair who had booked world war two sites which was fine. pot hole tastic on the roads and the information on the war was interesting. the museum was not up to much and tanks on show were more interesting due to the trees growing in them. the two guides were very nice - chatty friendly and gave a good insight into Solomon Island life. Half day tour - in retrospect could do this walking around if you take your time - have an umbrella and keep your things safe on you.

This was an outstanding tour. Our tour guide was friendly and very welcoming! This is a great way to get an overall orientation to Honiara Island. We also learned about the history of the island as well as the country of Solomon. Such a wealth of great and interesting information. It’s a rainy day. The national museum wasn’t open without notice. However, the tour was still enjoyable: 1. The art gallery, despite the humble scale, is a real treasure. The paintings and sculptures by local talents are unique and meaningful. 2. We went to additional spots, the WWII monuments by both sides (US and Japan). They are there to memorialise and harbour the country’s past war history. The memorials present precious information for documenting the collective experience in human history and harbouring the emotional memory - which is far but still not-so-distant. 3. The warm and pure characters of the local people are the key charm of the country and the highlights of the tour. Thanks for the flexibility and organised arrangements!
