Great experience would definitely recommend it

The tour company contacted in the afternoon before the day of the tour to cancel. The reason was that they didn’t have the minimum number of people. I can understand that but given the late notice, I wasn’t able to book anything else for the next day. They told me I would receive a full refund and the refund process had been initiated. After 24 with no notification about the refund process, I had to contact both the tour company and Trip Advisor to ensure it happened. I blame Trip Advisor for not ensuring the tour company provide earlier notification of cancellation to allow enough time to make alternate arrangements.

This tour was an excellent way to experience two very different sides of Guatemala in a single day. Hobbitenango offered spectacular mountain views, creative Hobbit-themed attractions, and a peaceful atmosphere high above Antigua. Even if you’re not a fan of The Lord of the Rings, the scenery alone makes the visit worthwhile, with panoramic views of the surrounding volcanoes and valleys. Afterward, we explored the beautiful colonial city of Antigua, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking its cobblestone streets, visiting historic churches and plazas, and learning about the city’s fascinating history made for a wonderful contrast to the morning in the mountains. Antigua’s well-preserved Spanish colonial architecture and relaxed atmosphere make it one of the most beautiful cities in Central America. Our guide was knowledgeable, organized, and enthusiastic, sharing interesting historical and cultural insights throughout the day while keeping the tour running smoothly. Transportation was comfortable, and there was enough free time to explore, take photos, browse local shops, and enjoy lunch. Overall, this was a well-organized tour that combined stunning scenery, unique attractions, and Guatemala’s rich colonial heritage into one memorable experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to make the most of a day outside Guatemala City.

Absolutely nothing learned from this trip. Paid over $400 for three of us to take a private tour and would have been better off taking an Uber to the Park. Very disappointed.

The tour was good. Bring a jacket and it’s a lot of walking. Rueben was a good tour guide and was on time. The commute from Guatemala City was about an hour or little over away. Antigua is a beautiful city and the views on the tour were great. We’d recommend.

First off, I usually give nice reviews. This in particular is half and half. Let's talk about Reuben (tour guide) and Carlos (driver). There were only 4 women on this tour so I assumed it should be a nice tour. I always book with Viator and by default; I always ask to sit in the front passenger due to my motion sickness. (I always take my medicine, too.) I guess they didn't read it and I asked you sit. Rueben was nice to say go ahead but Carlos speaking in Spanish mumbled something like who's going to keep him up to talk or he'll fall asleep on the wheel. My friend is Mexican and she understood him. Then Carlos drove like he's racing. It's really scary and I was afraid he'll cause an accident. While on the tour; I asked Rueben if he can take our pictures using my phone BUT he keeps taking pictures of us using his own phone then he'll use my phone to take it for me. He said it's for the website. We never consented. We were barely at Hobbitenango for an hour (on Viator it says 3 hours); and he said let's go to Antigua. When we got to Antigua; he took us four to a cafe. (I don't even like the food.) He dropped us off there at 12:06pm and said he'll be back at 1:00. I felt rushed then hurried outside where he waited. I thought we're continuing the tour. Instead; he just explained a little bit for 5-10 minutes then said we're on our own and to meet back at the cafe at 3:00. We were so disappointed. Then we got back into the van but Rueben said to sit in the back because Carlos needed to talk to him. I felt sick the whole 2 hours ride back and yes Carlos drove like he's racing. He must needed to go to a party. I am not happy with this tour and will not recommend to my friends. Reuben is a nice man but the tour was not great at all.

Guide Reuben and driver Carols was excellent combination. Carlos very punctual and professional. Ruben very polite and informed. Not only did we have a good day, we also learned about the history and culture of Guatemala. Unforgettable experience

Our ride was very comfortable The places we visited was a great pick . Ruben was pur guide and he was knowledgeable, polite individual.

Good experience the Guide very patient and explained everything that is Guatemalan culture, I recommend going in climates that are not in rains, but to go with the family
