Hluhluwe / iMfolozi Game Reserve Journée complète Game Drive

We had booked this tour as a shore excursion on a cruise trip. However, a day before we were supposed to arrive in Richard's Bay the Captain announced that this stop was being cancelled due to weather and that we were going to Durban instead. Immediately after the Captain's announced I got a WhatsApp message from Teshni at Under African Skies asked to confirm the port cancellation. Even though we were inside the 48 hour cancellation window, Teshni said she would see what she could do. She kept in constant communication with us throughout the day and was able to make arrangement for our tour to take place to the Hluhluwe/iMfolozi Game Reserve from Durban. The tour started early with a pick up the Durban port. Our driver was courteous and professional and they provided a very spacious mini bus for the 10 of us. The drive to the reserve was a little long but that was expected since Durban was farther form the reserve than Richard's Bay. The tour of the park was amazing although our group did not get to see any big cats even though other groups on the same day did. It is a very big reserve and it can be difficult to find all the animals. However, we did see many animals up close, including a very big bull elephant demolishing a tree, a giraffe, warthogs, four types of deer, wild dogs, a rhino, and water buffalo. The picnic lunch was also very good, and we especially enjoyed the bottles of Amarula provided by Teshni as a gift for the inconvenience. Under African Skies would have been fully within their rights to have pocketed our money when the ship plans changed with less the 24 hour notice, but Teshni did a fantastic job of saving our vacation.

From the moment Teshni picked us up, (my son and I), in her vehicle it was clear that we could just relax and enjoy ourselves. She has a wonderful personality and has found her calling as a tour guide! We drove through Hluhluwe and were lucky enough to see lions stretched out in the shade of Pride Rock. Teshni took the time to find out what interested us and organized every last detail to ensure that we made the most of the time on tour. I wholeheartedly recommend a tour with Under African Skies.

We recently went on a safari led by the amazing Teshni, and it was an unforgettable experience. Her professionalism and deep knowledge of the wildlife ensured we saw rare animals in their natural habitats. Teshni knew all the best spots, making the journey both exciting and rewarding. Her warm hospitality, along with her great sense of humor, made us feel comfortable throughout. The entire experience was well-organized, and we always felt at ease, able to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the surroundings. We did several tours with Teshni. She was wonderful to communicate with and make our trip special. She went above and beyond to make sure our group got the most amazing experiences. I would highly recommend her company to make your trip more memorable.

Teshni was a great and knowledgeable guide. She picked our large group up from the cruise terminal in very nice van and provided some local snacks for breakfast. Lunch was a delicious spread of fruit, meat, veggies, and salad. She waited patiently for another member of our group to translate the information she gave us into another language. Due to the weather, we were not able to see many animals but we did see two white rhinos!! (Thanks to the sharp eyes of Teshni and her driver) Teshni was very easy to communicate with and tried to give us the best experience possible. She took us to a cultural center for shopping and waited calmly for some of the members that did not keep the departure deadline. Easy drop off back at the terminal with parting gifts <3 Will definitely be contacting her to coordinate future tours in SA Highly recommended tour and guide!!

Home to Africa's Big Five- we saw elephant, Cape Buffalo, lion, and rhino on our safari. We did not see leopard but met people that saw three in the early morning on the day we traveled.

Brilliant well organised day. We were on board a cruise ship, but there was good communication to ensure we knew when to meet and where when we disembarked the ship. The guide was superb, and was very informative as we were travelling to the park. Once in the park he worked really hard to make sure we saw as many animals as possible. Breakfast and lunch were provided, and were superb and home cooked. Thoroughly recommend this tour.

This tour was nothing but amazing! We were traveling with a toddler and booking this tour made our port stop seamless. From the start, Teshana picked us up at the port and introduced us to our tour guide, Shaquila (pretty sure I spelled both names incorrectly, I’m sorry). He then drove us for the game drive, he was literally the BEST tour guide ever. Very knowledgeable & outgoing! He had an eye for the animals, he spotted animals distance away without any binoculars. Additionally, he taught us many things about their culture which made the trip so much more interesting. There was breakfast & lunch provided. Book this tour now!!!

Vusi Gumede from Under African Skies was such a good guide & made sure we saw so many animals & had the most fantastic day .He had so much knowledge & was such a nice person to be with .Highlight was to see a pair of cheaters & a white rhino & baby ,both close up .A day to remember forever.

It was real wildlife experience in African game reserve. Teshni planned this trip to game reserve very well and organized, she and guide (Johan) ensured that we will see Big 5 here and we did see them. It was just perfect day with shivering in the morning and blue sky in afternoon, this was unique experience. The timing and quality of breakfast and lunch was just awesome.
