Great value!

Packed full of interesting facts! Perfect length of time to absorb the sites and info. The trolley team (driver and vocalist) was a good pair who navigated the busy streets and offered the ability to stretch your legs at a bird's-eye-view spot overlooking Richmond while getting to know the passengers.

Best way to get introduced to Richmond

The trolley tour is perfect for anyone not familiar with Richmond's prolific history. I brought my 20-year old daughter and her boyfriend. we were among the youngest on the tour. Our guide Melissa was knowledgable, friendly, and seems to genuinely enjoy her job. We came away with a ton of background information about Richmond's history and would absolutely do this again.

Be ready to learn a lot...

Be ready to learn a lot but it was almost too much. The guide was very imformative but spoke super fast. I am not sure people from other nationalities could understand. Alot was focused on restaurants and eating places which was fine but more than one could take in. Personally we would have liked to learn more about some of the historical spiritual background of the area.

Perfect RVA Introduction

The trolley ride was a great introduction to the rich cultural history of Richmond. People from all over the country were taking part. Our tour guide had so many fascinating details to share. I especially appreciate the help of other guests assisting my super seniors in & out of the trolley. The RVA center opened up early so guests could use the restroom which was a blessing. They also had great souvenirs and there was a downtown cafe across the way for a local treat afterwards.

A Tour of Richmond’s Historic Places and More

The driver, Mark was excellent. He maneuvered that trolley car around those streets wonderfully. The guide was amazing. How great that she was a college history teacher who knew so much about the history of Richmond. We live in Richmond, and learned so much from her.

Meh.

Meh. Couldn't really see much from the street level windows. Could barely hear the tour guide over the roaring engine. Wooden seats are uncomfortable for that long. No AC in yhe back...it was like a loud, shaky, mobile sauna that randomly slammed on the breaks. But they did provide a bottle of cold water.

Great two hour overview and introduction

It's a worthwhile windshield tour that was colorfully narrated by an articulate and friendly Richmond enthusiast, Jennie, who shared historical information and knowledge of current events and development plans. The effect of the tour was to create a general impression that Richmond is an attractive city, well deserving of serious consideration, both to explore recreationally or to consider as a place to live for education or employment. The two hour tour included one stop to stretch legs and take photos at an overlook. Trolley had adequate AC for a hot day, and water was provided.
