Histoire sombre, légendes et visite nocturne des vampires dans le quartier du château de Buda

Description

Really awesome tour in Budapest! My apologies, I don’t want to misspell our guide’s name, but she said it means “flower” in Hungarian. Our guide dressed the part and even brought a lantern to go with the theme. She was really great at telling stories about the history of Buda Castle and the legends that came from it. It started to rain half way into the tour and it just made it even more aligned with the theme! Really recommend this tour if you love history and mixed with some fiction. Side note: Countess Elizabeth deserves justice!
Unfortunatly we cant attend as flight arrival delayed, but I am sure it is a great tour, next time we hope to got it
Our guide, Sigmund, was awesome! Incredibly fun and entertaining. We could tell that he was also having a good time, which made it even more special.
Not scary but entertaining nonetheless. Our guide was into her role and made the experience fun and educational. Do note that there are steps you need to scale and lots of walking… hence, a walking tour ;)
You will learn a lot about the history of this city. Our tour guide Sigmund was very knowledgeable and friendly.
We joined a Budapest vampire tour. Our guide was Zigmod, Zigmod is a wonderful storyteller. He makes you feel the story and wonder what else is lurking in the dark. Definitely a great family outing.
I found this tour to be very enjoyable. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and seemed to really enjoy telling us the stories and folklore. Buda castle is beautiful
Extremely interesting history of Buda castle, Budapest and Hungary itself throughout the middle ages including the continued wars between Austro-Hungarian empire and the Ottoman empire. Hungary has a rich history which was brought to life through a historic tour of the Buda castle by our very knowledgeable guide Peter. Stops along the tour were accompanied by stories steeped in both historic fact and legends passed down through the ages. Fluid borders in the region of the time brought Buda into contact with the count of Transylvania and thus, the legend of Count Dracula was born, half truth and fact, half superstitions and storytelling, but knowledge that gives interesting context to, arguably, the most widely known of the supernatural creatures, vampires! Peter delivered the information with extensive knowledge, great story telling and more than a smidge of humour as our group followed him up the steep cliff and around the castle. It was a full two hours, so be sure to take some water to drink, and be prepared to be on your feet all that time, as there were limited places or opportunities to sit, which is okay for the younger crowd, but at my age, it was about my limit. So, if you are interested in not just how the city you visit looks today, but how it became and who were it's influencers, this is a great tour to learn about Budapest and, more widely, Hungary and it's history. The nod to the vampires is a bit of a lure to get you interested, but it was very interesting nonetheless.
We had a wonderful time. Bernadette was an excellent guide. The tour was fascinating and fun.
Great walking tour of Buda with interesting stories of a ghoulish nature. Steep steps to start but once done a flat tour to finish. Nothing was rushed. Bernadette did a great job of telling these and dressed for the part. As it was my first evening in Budapest a great way to start.
