Pour commencer votre journée, rencontrez votre guide touristique à votre hôtel, puis visitez des sites célèbres tels que Miyajima, le sanctuaire Itsukushima, le parc commémoratif de la paix de Hiroshima, le jardin japonais Shukkeien et le château de Hiroshima. Votre guide personnalisera votre visite privée en détail selon vos intérêts. Huit heures, c'est le temps idéal pour découvrir à la fois Hiroshima et l'île de Miyajima. Nous vous suggérons fortement de visiter les deux endroits lorsque vous venez dans cette partie du Japon. 24 Pass pour le transport en ferry et tramway est de 900 yens pour les adultes, 450 yens pour les enfants. Le parc du mémorial de la paix d'Hiroshima (平和 記念 公園, Heiwa Kinen Kōen) est l'une des caractéristiques les plus importantes de la ville. Même les visiteurs qui ne le recherchent pas tomberont probablement sur le grand parc de plus de 120 000 mètres carrés. Ses arbres, ses pelouses et ses sentiers pédestres contrastent fortement avec le centre-ville environnant. Avant la bombe, la zone de ce qui est maintenant le Peace Park était le cœur politique et commercial de la ville. Pour cette raison, il a été choisi comme cible du pilote. Quatre ans jour pour jour après le largage de la bombe, il a été décidé que la zone ne serait pas réaménagée mais plutôt consacrée aux installations commémoratives de la paix. Frais d'entrée: 200 ¥
Le château de Hiroshima (広島城, Hiroshimajō), également appelé château de la Carpe, est un exemple notable de château construit dans une plaine au centre d'une ville. Son terrain est entouré de douves, et l'enceinte du château comprend un sanctuaire, des ruines historiques et des bâtiments reconstruits de Ninomaru (deuxième bailey). Construit en 1589 par le puissant seigneur féodal Mori Terumoto, le château d'Hiroshima était un important siège du pouvoir dans l'ouest du Japon. Comme le reste de la ville, il a été détruit par le bombardement atomique en 1945. ※Veuillez noter que le donjon principal du château de Hiroshima est fermé au public depuis mars 2026 pour des raisons de sécurité. Le château peut encore être vu de l'extérieur, tandis que les bâtiments Ninomaru, la boutique du musée Ninomaru et la zone Sannomaru restent ouverts aux visiteurs.

Miyajima (宮島) est une petite île située à moins d'une heure de la ville de Hiroshima. Il est surtout célèbre pour sa porte géante de torii, qui à marée haute semble flotter sur l'eau. La vue est classée comme l'une des trois meilleures vues du Japon. Alors qu'elle est officiellement nommée Itsukushima, l'île est plus communément appelée Miyajima, Japonais pour « île sanctuaire ». Cela s'explique par le fait que l'île est étroitement liée à son sanctuaire clé, Itsukushima, dans l'esprit du public. Comme la porte torii, les principaux bâtiments du sanctuaire sont construits au-dessus de l'eau. Miyajima est un endroit romantique, mieux vaut passer la nuit dans l'un des ryokan de l'île. Alors qu'il y a généralement beaucoup de touristes d'un jour, le soir, la région devient beaucoup plus calme et paisible. Il y a aussi des cerfs sauvages sur l'île qui se sont habitués aux gens. Le jour, les cerfs errent sur les mêmes sites que les touristes, et le soir, ils dorment le long des sentiers pédestres. Prix d'entrée : ¥300
Tenshinkaku (天心閣) est une ancienne maison japonaise ressemblant à un café maison de plain-pied à Miyajima qui est situé sur une colline. Vous pourrez profiter d'une vue magnifique sur le sanctuaire Toyokuni, la pagode de cinq étages et la mer de l'île de Seto à la fois.

Hiroshi is an excellent, knowledgeable, and highly personable tour guide. My son and I spent 8 hours with him between the Hiroshima Ground Zero and Peace Memorial and Miyajima. His English is superb. He was very communicative both prior to and during the tour (such as inquiring as to our desired walking pace) and kept a brisk but comfortable pace throughout the tour. The itinerary was well designed, too. I highly recommend Hiro-san to anyone looking to explore and learn about Hiroshima, Miyajima, and Japanese culture.
Minori was a lovely guide. She met us at our hotel and planned a very informative day in Hiroshima and Miyajima. She gave us insights into the events on August 4th 1945, as well as ensuring we had plenty of time for reading information, asking questions and taking photos. We went to a hidden gem for a delicious lunch before taking us on the fast ferry to Miyajima. We learnt the protocol for visiting a shrine. We enjoying sitting having a beer and sharing stories. We did a circular tour of important places in Hiroshima with a lovely guide.
We had an exceptional guide Sachi. She was in touch prior to our arrival and met us as planned. This was our first time using a private tour guide while on a cruise and we felt very confident that she would have us back to the ship before sailing time. She guided us expertly through the transport needed for our trip. Through out our time with Sachi she explained everything thoroughly and was very happy to answer our multiple questions throughout our tour. Sachi is extremely knowledgeable and we certainly recommend her to those considering tours in Hiroshima.
Today we had a full day with Kazuhisa To exploring Hiroshima and Miyajima Island. To was great with communication leading up to the day and made us feel very comfortable with a full itinerary provided before we arrived. The day was well thought out and covered everything we wanted to see in the area. To was knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his city and its history. We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Sei visiting Hiroshima. He planned a perfect itinerary that fit our needs exactly, including juggling some sensitivity to heat as well as food choices. He met us at the train station exactly on time and took us to Miyajima first to coincide with high tide for best views. He was informative, friendly, and answered all of our questions - including from our very curious teenage daughter who had lots of questions. Afterwards, we visited the Peace Memorial where Sei arranged for a special private viewing of a very powerful documentary. We were all extremely moved.
