Il s'agit d'une excursion guidée d'une journée complète à Hierve el Agua, Teotitlan, Yagul et Tree of Tule, comprenant un délicieux déjeuner. Hierve el Agua est un phénomène naturel magnifique situé dans les montagnes à l'extérieur des vallées centrales d'Oaxaca. Hierve el Agua est un phénomène naturel magnifique situé dans les montagnes à l'extérieur des vallées centrales d'Oaxaca. Après avoir redescendu la montagne, nous nous dirigeons vers le site archéologique de Yagul. Un joyau rare qui voit très peu de visiteurs, Yagul regorge de cactus sauvages et d'agaves qui poussent parmi et sur les ruines zapotèques. L'endroit a une histoire fascinante et est incroyablement atmosphérique, et a figuré dans de nombreux livres et films à travers l'histoire mexicaine.
A proximité se trouve Teotitlan del Valle, une ville célèbre pour sa tradition de tisserands zapotèques, dont les dessins et les styles sont devenus mondialement connus. Nous rendrons visite à un ménage qui acquiert sa laine uniquement à partir de son propre bétail et nous ferons un tour complet de ses méthodes de production du début à la fin. Il s'agit d'une expérience merveilleusement rafraîchissante et interactive où nous acquérons une compréhension du travail et du symbolisme derrière ces textiles, avec une famille qui tisse depuis des générations. Notre déjeuner est également préparé par la famille et nous mangeons chez eux, un vrai délice de la cuisine traditionnelle d'Oaxaca.
Sur la route du retour à Oaxaca, nous nous arrêterons à Santa Maria del Tule, emplacement de l'un des arbres les plus grands et les plus anciens du monde. Cyprès de Moctezuma, considéré comme ayant le tronc le plus large du monde, cet arbre est à lui seul un écosystème dont la taille est si impressionnante qu'elle éclipse l'église voisine. À environ 1500 ans, c'est une merveille de la nature et c'est incroyable d'être juste en sa présence.

Our driver Jorge was a wealth of knowledge and also from Oaxaca. He was a great storyteller and made us feel at home. Yesenia (Jessie) provided us with so much history and cultural relevance throughout our tour. She allowed us to explore each stop to our liking and answered all 1,000 questions we had. I would highly recommend taking this tour and, if you can, get Jorge and Yesenia! They were an amazing team that allowed us a beautiful day!

This tour is packed with so many amazing sites from around Oaxaca, we enjoyed them all! Loved learning about the culture and meeting with locals from the region. This was the absolute best thing we did in all of Mexico. We had the best day. Mizael was the best guide and Jorge was so helpful setting up the tour. We found the price perfect for the full day of activities and tours. We would do a tour with Mexico Kan tours again!

Misael was a fantastic guide, full of info and interested in chatting and answering our questions. The tour was a great way to see the sites and I would recommend it to anyone interested in an easy and enjoyable way to experience some highlights of Oaxaca. If you love nature you must visit the tule tree, it is incredible!

I booked this tour because we have a fantastic experience with this company during two trips to Tulum, but this time I was quite disappointed, especially considering the price we paid 330. The tour guide Michael was inattentive, spending most of the car ride playing on his phone, and he only answered our questions when we asked. I expected a brief intro at each stop, but did not happen. Also, when we reached the Hierve el Agua, he did not come in with us due to the legal restrictions, but he only mentioned like one sentence without further explanations when we about to get off the car, which should have been tell us earlier. On the positive side, the driver Isaac was wonderful! He was friendly, always smiling, and made sure the ac is on every time we got into the car. one tip for future travelers, if you’re thinking to buy the weaving products during the lunch stop ( which is held at a family owned weaving house), be cautious. The items are very expensive unless you’re good at bargaining. Overall, I don’t recommend this trip, especially given the price we paid compared with the service they offered.

Nice tour to Hierve el Agua with Miguel as our guide. The ride in the comfortable van was smooth all day, and the pickup was right on time. We enjoyed a breakfast stop at a local spot, which felt authentic and not touristy. The hike to Hierve el Agua with a local guide was a highlight—stunning views! We also loved the stop at the Yagul archaeological site—after visiting more popular spots like Monte Alban, it was amazing to have the place all to ourselves. Learning about the traditions of Zapotec weavers and having lunch prepared by their family in their home was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Miguel offered us mezcal throughout the day and even gifted us some complimentary pastries. What we really appreciated about the company is how it cooperates with the locals and supports the region, respecting its history, culture, and nature. Highly recommend!
