Herculaneum Drive de Naples

Description

Do NOT waste your money on this excursion!! Our driver hardly spoke to us. All he did was drive us to our destination and picked us up. He then drove us to a restaurant for pizza that was very mediocre. Our view was a dirty alley. I’m not sure what we paid for! We also had to stand in line and but our own tickets to Herculaneum. A big waste of money.
We’re sorry you felt disappointed. Our tour includes round-trip transportation, lunch, a guide, and an audio guide. The tickets for Herculaneum can be chosen by each guest, so they were not included automatically. We appreciate your feedback and hope you’ll enjoy a full guided experience on a future visit. Amazing to get an in depth history of What happened there. Our guide was amazing! I would highly recommend.
Hi, thank you for your fantastic review! We’re glad our guide could provide such an insightful experience. Your recommendation means a lot to us. Hope to see you again soon! – Staff NapoliCityVision
Excellent tour of a well preserved antiquity. In many ways better than Pompeii. Also not as large so easier to grasp.
Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the tour and found the site both well-preserved and accessible. Your comparison to Pompeii is truly flattering, and we’re glad that the size allowed for a more comprehensive and enjoyable experience. We greatly appreciate your kind words and look forward to welcoming you again in the future. Warm regards, Napoli City Vision Team
We all thoroughly enjoyed the trip to Herculaneum. Our guide shared his incredible knowledge of the history of the city of Naples, the science behind the volcanic landscape of the region, and great background on the people who built the city. We had a great lunch at the Pompei location and stopped by the store where cameo jewelry from the region is made. We are thankful to our guide Alessandro for his great knowledge and welcoming personality and our driver Massimo who navigated the streets of Naples with great expertise!

Herculaneum is amazing and Laurie very knowledgeable. Ear phone was a challenge to hear with unless I pressed on it. Also, she would begin explaining things before we all got to where she was at due to lots of tourists. Felt like pick up was a little disorganized and getting to lunch was confusing. Where and who we were to go with..
Luigi picked me up at Hotel right on time. Drove me to the restaurant with others to meet more people for a lunch. That’s where it got confusing. The lunch was very good but then another driver showed up to take me to Herculaneum, not Luigi. Ok all good but this nice driver Amedeo didn’t speak English. There was 2 of us on board out of 5 who didn’t understand anything he said the whole time. And he talked a lot! He loves his city of Naples but we two couldn’t benefit from his information at all. Except when he showed us pictures on his phone while driving. So he was a ride not a guide to us.
I booked this tour after returning to the States after seeing Pompeii and having friends tell me I should've seen Ercolano instead. Of course, seeing both would be ideal, but Ercolano is better-preserved, less crowded, and closer to Napoli. The logistics of the tour were well-done and even the lunch stop was excellent. Silvana, our guide, was very knowledgeable and I liked how she asked questions to make us think, rather than just reciting from a script.
