Excursion d'une journée dans la belle ville de Heidelberg, cette vieille ville historique du Neckar est visitée chaque année par des millions de visiteurs du monde entier. Au cours de notre visite, nous vous montrerons le célèbre château d'Heidelberg, qui a une histoire historique. L'ensemble de la structure, le château et la cour sont impressionnants par leurs ruines et leur construction. Le château est vieux de plusieurs siècles et offre une vue magnifique sur la ville depuis son immense terrasse. Vous avez ici devant vous l’un des plus grands tonneaux de vin au monde. Après la visite du château, nous vous accorderons un temps privé et vous pourrez vous promener dans le centre médiéval et visiter la Maison Renaissance des Chevaliers et l'église du Saint-Esprit.

Après environ 1 heure de route, nous visiterons le château de Heidelberg. Au cours de notre visite, nous vous montrerons le célèbre château de Heidelberg, qui a une histoire historique. L'ensemble de la structure, le château et la cour impressionnent par leurs ruines et leur construction. Le château est vieux de plusieurs siècles et offre une vue magnifique sur la ville depuis son immense terrasse. Ici, vous regardez l'un des plus grands fûts de vin au monde.
Après avoir visité le château, nous traversons le centre médiéval jusqu'au vieux pont et au Karlstor, la maison Renaissance du chevalier, la Heiliggeistkirche. Nous conduisons environ 1 heure de retour au point de rendez-vous.

Our tour guide Michael was great!! He provided us with great detail and insight about the ancient, post-WW2 and current history of Heidelberg - and did so in a thoughtful and humorous manner. My partner and I really enjoyed the tour and would recommend Michael without reservation. Thanks Michael!
We really enjoyed the Heidelberg Castle and City Day Tour from Frankfurt with Michael and Stefan. The highlight of the day for us was definitely the beautiful Old Town of Heidelberg, which was charming and well worth visiting. The castle itself was very interesting, but we felt the guided portion could have been structured differently. Michael was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the history, but he spent much of our 1½ hours at the castle giving detailed explanations in the main square, focusing on the statues and historical background. While the information was interesting, there was simply too much to absorb, and it left very little time to explore the castle ourselves. We especially wanted to visit the wine cellar and spend more time enjoying the panoramic views, but by the time the tour finished, we found ourselves rushing through these areas just to make it back to the van on time. We would recommend shortening the guided commentary to around 20 minutes, covering the key historical highlights, or providing a fact sheet or handout that guests can read at their own pace. This would leave more time for independent exploration, as different people are naturally interested in different parts of the castle. Overall, it was a very enjoyable day, and we appreciated both Michael’s knowledge and Stefan’s driving. With a little more free time at the castle, the experience would have been even better.
Michael is very knowledgeable about the history of the castle and he is also funny. I will definitely recommend this tour to my family and friends.
Our guide Michael was very knowledgeable with dates and history but after about an hour, I found myself losing interest because it was too much. I recommend keeping it a little less academic. I thought the castle tour was a bit underwhelming; frankly not much to see. The wine cellar where you can get a glass of wine and the pharmacy museum were the highlights. The old town below the castle is charming and we spent just enough time there (1.5 hrs).
This was a great tour to get vacation started. We were the only ones on the tour so it was very personalized. The tour guide was great, lots of stories to share and made it worth the time, money, and effort. I highly recommend this as you will learn something g you didn’t know. The drive was longer than I thought but we were safe and timely.

Mike had a lot of knowledge of the history. Time in Old Town and the castle was good. Supplies us with water on a very hot day.
Our tour guide (Michael) did a fabulous job of providing lots of historical info, not only while touring Heidelberg Castle, but also all along the route there. It provided wonderful context for us. I would have enjoyed a bit more time in the old city of Heidelberg, but I knew when I booked the tour our time would be limited. Perhaps another time!
