Fantastic experience! Learning the history and techniques behind Vietnamese coffee at Phothesense was fascinating. The host, Jade, was welcoming and explained the brewing process perfectly. Making our own egg coffee was incredibly fun—and delicious. A highly recommended activity if you have a free morning or afternoon in the city.

We had an amazing time learning about vietnamese coffee, its history and culture, from a genuinely fun and bubbly local guide. Our favourite part was connecting and sharing about each other’s cultures beyond coffee. The coffees we made were delicious and the conversations equally engaging. Ngoc also gave us so many Hanoi tips away from tourist traps and we left feeling super happy from the experience.

I did a great decision booking with Phothesense for this activity. I traveled solo in Vietnam and booked the 1:00 PM schedule. I was surprised that they didn’t reschedule my class even though no one else was in my time slot (unlike others, which usually require at least two people). Tracey (my host) and I enjoyed our time, it becomes more personal for me, we chitchat a lot haha. I'm very comfortable around her, and aside from that of course I learned a lot about VN coffee history & procedures. We made good six coffee! They're delicious I swear, I almost got everything bottoms up haha. She also shared the recipes on me, I'll definitely do it at home. To mentioned, their place is such a vibe. Love the interior. I'll highly vouch on this class - and it's clean & hygienic too! Thank you for making my class so memorable Tracey!

This coffee class was so much fun and very informative. I thought it might be a bit of coffee overload, but it wasn't at all. The coffees were delicious and the instructor was fantastic!

I had an amazing workshop with Jennifer. She is incredibly knowledgeable about coffee and Vietnamese culture. I learned a lot about the different coffee-making traditions in Vietnam. Jennifer made me feel very welcome throughout the workshop, and her thoughtful gesture at the end was a lovely touch. She even send me some favourite restaurants and coffee shops she recommend. I highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in Vietnamese coffee and culture.

Amazing time making coffees with jade! She was very informative about local places for me to go and detailed on how to make the coffees. She sends the recipes at the end too so I could fully be in the moment and didn’t have to write notes!

Amazing coffee experience. Make and taste 6 different types of Vietnamese coffee. It was a fun afternoon and would recommend it to all coffee drinkers.
