The driver Micel was excellent and drove the coach like a true expert. Michael the guide was very informative with a great sense of humour. Coach was extremely clean and Micel cleaned the windows while at the camels so we could all see the view at the volcano crater drive. The camel ride was fantastic can use card or cash for this, however you will need 10 euros cash if you wish to purchase the photo at the end. All in all would highly recommend. 5 stars all round from us.
Great tour, you get to see some of the most amazing parts of the national park with a knowledgeable tour guide and understand the history of the island. The water demonstrations on underground magma was particular fun to watch. However, the welfare of the camels we saw was concerning, lots of sores around their body and some of them were struggling to walk uphill with overweight individuals. Safe to say we won’t take part in that part of a tour again.
The pickup was great; we arrived just in time at the site, and they were already there and called us to wait for us. They were concerned the whole time that we were all there, and it was very pleasant. Ivet is great; she explains everything very well and makes the journey fun and interesting. We learned a lot and loved seeing everything. The park is very beautiful; to do the route through the volcanoes, it is important to hire the bus, because private cars cannot access it.
There were major problems with the pickup. We were standing at the agreed-upon location, but no one came. After 10 minutes had passed, I wrote to Tour2be on WhatsApp; I received a response 15 minutes later. The organizer had booked us for a different day and therefore did not pick us up.. however, we were then able to join the current tour since there were still spots available. We were then picked up within 5 minutes by a German-speaking lady who drove us to our bus. It took a total of 40 minutes until everything was cleared up. After the nice lady drove us to the bus, everything was great. We were still able to catch up on the wine tasting, and then we continued on the bus. From that point on, it was a really great trip. The tour guide Antonio is truly a kind-hearted and funny person; he really made this tour something special. Furthermore, he also knew some German, which was of course very nice as well. We definitely recommend this tour to everyone, even after the unpleasant start. It was great!
Super organised and well informed.Had an amazing time and would highly recommend. A trip to Lanzarote without seeing the volcanoes would be like strawberries without cream!
Fantastic tour which showcased Timanfaya national park & Le Geria vineyard. The tour started with a quick stop in Yaiza where the groups on the long tour got on another bus, and ourselves and others remained on the bus for the short tour. There was time for a quick photo opportunity for a look out point & quick coffee/toilet break if required. Second stop was the optional camel ride just within the boundaries of Timanfaya. Personally, we could have done without this, personal opinion is that camels shouldn’t be used for tourism in this way, but each to their own, despite this, it appears the camels are very well looked after, We took the time to have a look round the museum & gift shop. Next you go to the top of Timanfaya where you have some thermo demonstrations, take some pictures & opportunity to have a look round. Then onto the 35/40min crater bus tour, very informative and interesting to see. Last was La Geria Vineyard, we were given a shot size sample of wine, there is opportunity to purchase more and a nice gift shop also. The tour & stops were just enough time. 20/30mins at each stop which was just enough, no unnecessary hanging around, we were able to see what we wanted and then onto the next. Please be aware this is a multi national tour, we had English, Spanish, German, French nationals on our trip, the tour guide is able to speak each language. The couch was full, which means you’re relying on other people to get back to the coach on time, which was rarely the case at each stop. On our particular trip, we found some customers to be selfish, loud & ignorant which semi spoiled the trip, however this was specific to our tour only and of course everyone will have different experiences. Of course, with any large full bus tour, it’s never going to be smooth sailing.
The nature park is a must. Camel ride and wine cellar are dispensable. The bus ride with demonstrations is a special experience.
It was great although we had to walk to the next hotel for a Pick-up (Flamingo) when there was a pick-up at our hotel (Iberostar) which didn't show on the app. There was an extra charge for the camel ride which we knew about, this was only 11 Euros so no problem. In all the guide and the trip was fantastic although the village stop at the end for a shop was not the best.
A great tour, the guide was knowledgeable and friendly and entertaining. A must do in Lanzarote, however the stops were very brief. I would’ve preferred a bit more time. At every stop you had enough time to do one thing even if more was on offer. For example, the camel stop was a highlight but it meant that you couldn’t see the museum. The volcano ash was really interesting and seeing the meat cooked on the heat from the volcano but there wasn’t enough time to grab lunch in the restaurant. I would still very much recommend this activity but it’s noteworthy for others going.
It is a protected natural environment, so I recommend seeing it with a guide for a greater understanding of the surroundings and their circumstances.
