A must do to learn more about the town and its history. the group is small and the tour guide was knowledgeable.
This was a highly enjoyable and informative 2 part tour with 2 different tour guides focusing on different aspects of Santiago. The first tour provided an excellent overview of the historical and cultural significance of this UNESCO world heritage site. The second part of my tour with a different guide provided a detailed and fascinating exploration of the Santiago de Compostela Archcathedral Basilica and the significance of St. James the Great to this world renowned city. Both guides provided excellent descriptions on the concept of the Way of St. James which is a leading Catholic pilgrimage route since the 9th century. The guides spoke fluent English and were both highly knowledgeable about the historical, cultural and religious significance not only of Santiago but also Galicia. The entire tour lasted about 4 hours and is one that I would highly recommend to those seeking to learn about and fully appreciate this unique part of Spain.
Look for the blue umbrella in the square when you have tour booked. Great historic knowledge of guide.
Our tour guide was overlapping groups and the original group (us) would have to hear everything again for 45 minutes with the second group. It felt like 2 hours having to listen again what we heard.
Great tour. Fatima was thorough and made the tour very pleasant. She also gave us several eating recommendations.
We had a fantastic tour, over 3 hours, and the guide Camilla never stopped talking. It was informative and entertaining. Highly recomended.
The guide, Carolina, was so knowledgeable, engaging with humor and questions to the group. An incredible way to truly understand Santiago’s history and the Cathedral.
We truly appreciated the knowledge and communication skills of our guide, Maria. She shared the interesting history of the cathedral, items in the museum, the buildings surrounding the cathedral and iconic streets and parks of the old town.
Extensive and interesting information
Patricia was outstanding in explaining the history, culture and architecture of the cathedral & Galicia.
