Amusez-vous et changez d'un environnement urbain animé à une nature magnifique, juste aux portes de Riga. Partez en toute simplicité en vélo électrique à assistance motorisée sur les sentiers et routes forestières. Nous commencerons notre voyage depuis la tour de guet du feu, où vous pourrez admirer de magnifiques vues panoramiques sur les forêts environnantes, les prairies et les plus hauts bâtiments de Riga. Notre voyage se déroulera dans une zone entourée de longues crêtes de dunes d'environ 10 kilomètres de long et 0,4 à 1,5 kilomètres de large. Les habitants locaux appellent cette bande de dunes « Sahara de Riga ». Contrairement aux dunes du Sahara, les dunes de Riga sont couvertes de forêts de pins plantées. Ces dunes sont un monument naturel de la Lettonie. Nous irons jusqu'à la Dune Blanche de Jurmala, qui est une grande dune de sable située sur la rive de Lielupe et qui constitue l'un des plus beaux objets naturels protégés de Jurmala. Nous terminerons notre voyage à notre point de départ.

La visite commencera à la tour d'observation des incendies de Bumbu kalnins (Bomb hill), qui possède une plate-forme panoramique ouverte aux visiteurs. Il y a une large vue panoramique sur Riga et les forêts environnantes. Bomb Hill est le lieu historique où se trouvait le poste de commandement de la division Latgale de l'armée lettone. Le 1er novembre 1919, le colonel Krišjānis Berķis a signé l'ordre de lancer l'opération de libération de Pardaugava, puis le 11 novembre Riga a été libérée et jusqu'au 1er décembre toute la Lettonie a été libérée de l'armée de Bermont. La visite passera par une forêt de pins, vous verrez les rivières Bullupe et Lielupe et l'une des plus grandes dunes de Latvija - La dune blanche, qui mesure 17 m de haut, près de la rivière Lielupe. White Dune est l'un des plus beaux objets naturels protégés de Jūrmala.

My group of 6 friends and I booked the guided e-bike tour through the forest trails near Riga, and it was far beyond our expectations! From the very beginning, the communication with our guide, Pauls, was clear and super helpful. He reached out in advance to coordinate details and gave us great advice on what to wear given the unpredictable weather. When we arrived, Pauls was already waiting for us with the bikes. He took the time to give each of us a personal explanation of how the e-bikes worked and how to best use the support levels. Before we took off, he checked in about our expectations and time constraints. Since we had plenty of time and no specific preferences, we gave him total freedom to customize the route, which turned out to be the absolute best decision! Pauls started the tour at a relaxed pace through a few technical sections to gauge our skill level. Once he saw we were comfortable, he picked up the pace nicely. We stopped at 4 different locations along the way where he shared interesting context and history about the area, while also giving us plenty of time to take photos (and taking great group shots for us!). The e-bikes themselves were top quality, with the throttle on the handlebar, it was effortless to keep up and we had zero battery stress the entire time. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, much more adventurous and active than we originally anticipated, which is entirely thanks to Pauls' great instinct for reading the group. We absolutely loved our bike excursion in the forested area near Riga! It was a perfect break from the hustle of city tourism, the trees are like a fairy tale and the air is fresh and fragrant! Pauls showed us some chantarelle mushrooms to pick and (my favorite part) wild blueberries! The bikes are super fun as well, make sure to speed up when you hit the sand so you don’t go wobbly! We enjoyed seeing the beach and the individualized pace of the tour was great—stop more or less depending on your preference! Great conversation throughout!
This was an excellent experience. I highly recommend for anyone. The forest ride was beautiful and Pauls was an amazing guide. Using the E Bikes made the experience even more fun. A perfect way to experience the nature of Latvia.
This tour is a perfect alternative to experience Riga and the white dunes that makes the Latvian nature. This ebike tour was so much fun and we will 100 pct. recommend! Our host Paul was excellent in explaining the equipment and he was very considerate. He adjusted the trip to our level and wishes. Paul told us about Latvian history and the landscapes that we biked through. The nature was so beautiful and racing through the forest in between trees and hills is an extraordinary feeling of freedom.
A nice mix of peaceful paths and slightly extreme bumps and dunes. Very picturesque views and a great getaway from the city noise.
New experience always fun. Something between cycle and small moped. Forests trails have nice relief. You can drive easy or chose bit extreme sped to get adrenaline up:)

In Riga for a long weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday and decided to get out of the city to see what the local countryside was like! The guided tour offered by Pauls became the highlight of our trip, we had so much fun zooming round the forest trails on his e-bikes, the view points he took us to were beautiful as was the woodland we meandered through. Pauls was very friendly, knew all about the local area and reall helped put a couple of the more nervous riders at ease with his calm demeanour and clear instruction.
A great way to see another side of Riga. We had so much fun! Pauls was a great guide and helped a couple of us feel more confident on the Ebike. Would definitely recommend if you want to get away from the city and find some peace and quiet.
