Joy and our driver Tony were the perfect introduction to Bangkok. We booked a private full-day tour that took us outside the city to the floating and train markets before ending with a longtail boat tour through Bangkok’s canals. Joy was knowledgeable, warm, and brought incredible energy to the entire day. She walked us through local foods, explained the culture behind everything we saw, and even coached us on how to negotiate with vendors at the markets. No matter how many times we changed our plans on the fly, she rolled with it and kept the day fun and seamless. Cold towels and drinks were waiting for us at every stop without us ever having to ask. If you’re visiting Bangkok and want a private guide who genuinely loves what she does and makes you feel like you’re exploring the city with a friend, Joy is your person. Absolute 10 out of 10.
Ms. Joy and her driver, “Tony” were amazing. They promptly picked us up at the cruise terminal 2 hours outside of Bangkok and from there we enjoyed an extraordinary day. We had an in depth tour of the Grand Palace, a long boat ride, a wonderful Thai dance performance, fabulous food at a local spot, and walk through the fabulous flower market. We were supposed to have one more spot but was exhausted so they drove us to the airport. The day was seamless, Ms.Joy was very informative and kind. Tony is a great driver. We highly recommend them for your preferred tour of Bangkok.
The experience was stellar! It is indeed a private tour and curated for my individual taste. We spent the whole day touring various sites in Bangkok and I got a true sense of the city. Ms. Mee was a phenomenal tour guide and I would come again to Bangkok if only because of her. She made me see the city through the eyes of a native. Simply awesome!
They were amazing. Always punctual, very knowledgeable, perfect English, well organized. Amazing
What a wonderful way to experience Bangkok! Mr. George was smart and kind and knew all the best places, including off the beaten track. Mr. Chob’s communication was thorough and very clear. We knew we were in good hands and would highly recommend his tour company to see Bangkok safely and hassle-free.
This was one of the best private tours we have taken anywhere in the world. Our guide Alex was knowledgeable, engaging, and timed everything perfectly so we could visit the incredible Dragon Temple (Wat Samphran), explore the floating market, and watch the train pass through Maeklong Railway Market. He also helped us capture great photos and introduced us to local foods and refreshing Thai drinks, which made the experience even more authentic. Our driver Tony was excellent, professional and punctual, and always ready with a cool comfortable car between stops. We covered so much in one day and never felt rushed. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Highly recommend Alex and Tony if you want an exceptional Bangkok private tour.
This trip is worth the travel and though it's super hot but it was a worthwhile experience. Ms Aom was an excellent tour guide, a woman with a heart. She has so much patience especially also taking care of my brother by pushing his wheelchair in going to the reclining Buddha. Overall, she's really very very good. The trip is worth the experience. Our group of 12 (six senior couples from the US) recently sailed on the Silver Nova from Singapore to Hong Kong February 12-26. I spent the past year organizing private excursions/tours in each of our ports (Bangkok, HCMC, DaNang, and Halong Bay), a total of seven tour days. Thanks to fellow CC users, I was easily able to find tremendous suggestions of private operators. I researched each thoroughly, and then contacted my candidates in early 2025. In Bangkok, we spent two days touring with Mr. Chob's company. From the first day contacting him in April of 2025, he responded to my emails within hours and provided thoughtful suggestions and thorough guidance on local customs and considerations for our group. He was very flexible in accommodating my own tour ideas with his, and he asked great questions about my group (ages, mobility, dietary needs, etc.). We quickly arrived at a two-day plan, which included my desire to stay overnight in the city, in order to eliminate the long drive back and forth from the ship in Laem Chebang port to the city center. He asked me to book the hotel myself, but he provided feedback on my choices and decisions. This was great because I had no problem obtaining a group discount for six rooms at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit in town, and arranging a phenomenal private dinner for us at their Thai restaurant, Basil. The guides assigned to us by Mr. Chob were Ms. Joy and Mr. Alex, and if you search for them online you will find that they are universally regarded as outstanding ambassadors for Bangkok. The two days we spent with them, on two small buses, were flawless. We saw all the major sites (temples and palaces), had private boat tours (long boats and floating market from a private pier) and of course saw the train go through the train market. All during the trip we were provided with water, ice-cold towels, heavy snacks (including mango sticky-rice!) and other hospitality gifts, demonstrating their sense of Thai pride. We never had to wait for anything, and we were always exactly on time for all of our commitments. To give you an idea of value, the ship offered a private tour with overnight hotel accommodation in the city and almost exactly the same tour highlights that we saw, at a price more than double what we paid per couple. Our group of 12 gives Mr. Chob, Ms. Joy and Mr. Alex our very highest recommendation.
We had the most incredible private tour experience yesterday for our family of 8, and our guide Joy made the entire day truly unforgettable. From the moment we met her, she treated us like family — warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making our experience special. She created a completely personalized day for our group, guiding us through stunning temples, meaningful cultural rituals, and unforgettable moments — from learning traditions firsthand to exploring breathtaking sacred sites and seeing the magnificent reclining Buddha. Every stop felt thoughtful, immersive, and tailored to our interests, especially with kids in our group. Joy’s knowledge, kindness, and attention to detail made everything seamless and stress-free. She shared so much history and local insight while making the experience fun, engaging, and deeply meaningful. It never felt like a typical tour — it was unique, authentic, and incredibly special. This experience was absolutely worth the price and one of the highlights of our trip. We highly, highly recommend Joy to anyone visiting — she truly goes above and beyond and made memories our family will cherish forever.
Had a fantastic one and a half days touring Bangkok with Ms. Joy of Mr. Chob tours. Joy was punctual, organized, flexible, very knowledgable and very fun to spend time with I would very enthusiastically recommend her and the company. We had an amazing time in this beautiful city.
