De là, notre Guide organisera le billet d'entrée à la région, ainsi que le billet Kecak Dance sans longue file d'attente. Le Guide vous escortera dans la zone du temple, partagera les connaissances locales, montrera les meilleurs spots de photographie et vous aidera à prendre les photos. Et le plus important, il vous protégera des vilains singes qui vit à proximité du temple. Uluwatu Temple offre une vue spectaculaire sur les falaises, face à l'océan Indien. C'est le meilleur endroit pour voir le coucher du soleil à Bali. Autre moment fort, Kecak et Fire Dance, où 70 interprètes donnent vie au conte enchanteur de Rama et Sinta, rehaussé par leurs chants vocaux et leurs costumes complexes. Le spectacle est donné deux fois par jour, le 1er spectacle de 18h à 19h, et le 2e spectacle de 19h à 20h à 15h. Choisissez soit de regarder le spectacle en même temps que le coucher de soleil (1er spectacle), soit de prendre le 2e spectacle pour en profiter séparément.

Le temple Uluwatu, connu localement sous le nom de « Pura Luhur Uluwatu », témoigne à couper le souffle de la splendeur spirituelle et naturelle de Bali. Perché majestueusement sur une falaise de 70 mètres, ce temple emblématique offre plus qu’une vue imprenable ; c’est une porte d’entrée vers l’âme de Bali, où la tradition, la culture et les éléments convergent dans un puissant étalage de beauté et de révérence.
La danse Kecak, l’une des performances les plus emblématiques de Bali, inspirée de la danse sacrée Sanghyang, qui est exécutée pour conjurer les esprits négatifs, ils ont adapté le rituel en une danse dramatique de conte basée sur l’épopée du Ramayana. Contrairement à la danse balinaise traditionnelle, la Kecak Dance n'utilise pas d'instruments de musique ; elle repose plutôt entièrement sur le chant synchronisé d'un grand chœur masculin, produisant le célèbre son "cak-cak-cak".

Budi was a great guide. Meeting place was clear and we found him no problem. My glasses were taken by a monkey. He helped me get them back eventually- it was stressful but I can laugh about it now! The fire dance show was amazing, although seats were hard after a while. Highly recommended, keep your glasses away when in temple part!!

We had a great experience with Budi as our guide at the Uluwatu Temple. The tour included all the fees of temple entry, a guide as well as the Kecak dance show (6 pm), which seemed to be sold out at all other platforms. We didnt have to stand in any queue and the whole experience from start to end was very smooth, no hassle whatsoever. It took about 45 mins to finish the whole temple tour, and we reached the amphitheatre in time to grab good seats. Strongly recommend.

The kecak dance at sunset was absolutely worth the wait! We got there at 3:45pm and our guide told us to meet him at 4:30pm and he showed up early too. Our other group members were 10 minutes late so we waited. I will say, I wish we didn’t get the guide. He really did not provide more than 2 details on the 20 minutes we spent together. He brings you in with your entrance ticket, warns you about the monkeys, tells you about the statue and temple, and takes 2 photos for you then sends you off into the place to sit to watch the dance. My husband and I usually don’t get guides and this reminded me why. We prefer to be on our own time instead of waiting for a group, but that’s just us! If you want good seats with a direct eyeline of the show— you’re going to want to sit down by 5pm. We sat at 5:20pm in the blistering heat and got the middle left section up towards the middle of the bleachers. You can see the Cliffside of the temple with the dance so it is perfect but if you want the sunset right behind the dancers I’d say go directly in the middle of the stage facing the gates. The show was a beautiful depiction of the Idonesian culture and a few hindu gods. Beautiful work by the whole group! Ps- I heard a lot of snickering and laughter at the chanting of the men during the dance from different groups of people, which was so sad and disrespectful. If you’re going to go—- please think with consideration and be mindful of cultural practices and values before laughing at things that don’t make sense!

Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with the dance (which didn’t seem like a dance). There was nothing amazing about it and the seating was crowded. We did the sunset one which is the first show at 6pm, which gave us the opportunity to watch the sun set which was beautiful and the most impressive part of the event.
