Weather was perfect. Water was perfect. And Captain Mike was a lot of fun, very helpful, and I would highly recommend having Mike as your Captain. Caught some nice bass.
That’s the trifecta—perfect weather, calm water, and a captain who keeps it fun! 😄 Captain Mike will be glad he helped make it such a great day. And a few nice bass to show for it never hurts. Thanks for the recommendation 🎣
Good and fun, recommended especially for those with kids. Will come again. The Capt Steve was very good and the waters are good. Will have to take my son on a trip with them to test. The team made it all feel safe, easy which is really important when kids are involved,” he shared. It was a chilled out, pleasant experience the whole way through.
Thanks! I’m really glad the trip was safe, easy, and fun for the whole family. Great to hear you felt comfortable bringing kids along—that means a lot. Appreciate the kind words about Capt. Steve and the team. Looking forward to having you back out with your son next time!
I took my three young kids bass fishing near Kissimmee, and we had an **unforgettable** morning using live shiners as bait. In just **90 minutes**, we landed **over 10 big bass**, including several in the **5-6 pound range**—the kids were hooked (literally and figuratively)! The shiners worked **perfectly**, attracting aggressive strikes and keeping the action nonstop. Even with little ones in the boat, the fishing was easy and exciting—most hits came quickly, so they never lost interest. The area had **great shoreline access**, clean water, and plenty of cover where the bass were stacked up. If you want a **stress-free, high-success fishing trip** with kids, I highly recommend using live shiners near Kissimmee. The results speak for themselves, and the memories are even better. We’ll **definitely** be back soon!
What an incredible review! 🎣 It sounds like your trip near Kissimmee was nothing short of perfect — big bass, nonstop action, and happy kids? Live shiners really are the secret weapon for keeping little anglers engaged, and it’s great to hear how well the crew enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing such an experience!

I went through the guides and booked with a guide with a boat big enough to handle 4 fishermen for bass fishing. iOutdoors changed the captain, and I specifically asked if the new guide could handle 4 fishermen and got an email back saying yes. Less than 18 hours before we started fishing, the guide calls and said his boat could not handle 4 adults. He said it might work if we fished with bait. That was not the original plan for bass fishing. He charged another $150 for the bait. Then acted like the bait was gold and wanted us to keep shiners alive even when we putted from location to location in a slow dirty pontoon. The fishing g was marginal but that happens in fishing it was the booking service that screwed things up.
We love our customers and reviews, but there are times when things get confusing and we need to clear up the facts. After much research, let's do that...line by line for all our readers. We do accommodate 4 people every day of the week on most all boats we have. Three reasons, by applying 4 to a boat it saves customers money from hiring two boats. Secondly, it allows a family of 4 to go on one boat. Thirdly, anyone that knows a little about bass fishing understands bass boats are made for two, and that when they elect to choose one boat it's going to be tight 4 and now 5 with the captain…but understand this is always your choice. The reason our captain changed the boat last minute was you forgot to mention 3 out of the 4 people were big as football players, and there is a point where the boats do have a weight capacity per US coast guard. We still only offered the last minute change as an option to better accommodate your group. You accepted the option of the pontoon, which normally cost more, but there was no upcharge to help accommodate your group. The $150 Bait...On every bookable webpage we have, also on the itinerary you received during and after deposit, it says, fishing license and live bait is not included? Also Capt Bill specifically talked with you the day before your trip about live bait and the price. Which you verbally agreed to $25 dozen and 6 dozen in advance. And you specifically said, not to mention to the other guys that you would pay cash for it on the side as you didn’t want them to know. Let me add you also asked Capt Bill to bring baitcasting rods and reels for everyone with lures. He did, and only one of you threw them or could throw them. Your quote that the boat was slow and dirty! The boat has a 115hp 4 stroke motor, a nice motor for a pontoon. The boat was loaded, counting the guide. This boat is newer and well maintained, our pontoons have a full time maintenance and cleaning person which Captain Bill witnessed showing up before you arrived to clean the boat and it was in great shape for your trip. Your quote fishing was marginal....You also forgot to mention that you showed up over an hour late, 8:15am instead 7am which Capt Bill verified with you and was on all the itineraries. Capt Bill also mentioned the morning bite was important, as the fish were schooling. So technically you missed the best fishing by being late. Despite your tardiness, 2 out of the 4 of you caught your person's biggest largemouth bass, at least what you said on the boat. Not sure how all this is marginal? Lastly, the iOutdoors Team did not screw things up. They saved the trip you booked from being a disaster. We were going to challenge your review because it is so dishonest but we believe it's good for readers to see how dedicated we are to them and our quality of service.
Darrell was a great guide and he showed us a new way to fish that we really haven't done that much back in Ohio, using a jerk bait. My son and I caught about 15 bass and had a great time.
Thanks a million for the great feedback, we appreciate your business and look forward to having you come back!
Great fishing experience. I took my 3 year old and captain Brent was so attentive and interactive with her. We all caught several fish and had a blast.
We enjoyed and appreciate your review
Captain Steve's knowledge of the lake and where the fishing holes were around area was outstanding. I have fished all over the US and he is one of the better guides I have hired. He knows what bait to use, where to cast it and techniques to employ, boat positioning and what to expect when the fish hits. Very good action and a few big ones got away but landed four really nice size fish: a 7 lb largemouth and one just smaller. Unfortunately, we didn't land everything but not disappointed. I gave 5 stars for equipment, all top end rods and reels. But the overall trip was more of 9 stars! We will be repeat customers. Best part about Captain Steve is that he will always be truthful about fishing in and around the area. Highly recommend this fishing charter.
Thanks a million for the great feedback, we appreciate your business and look forward to having you come back!
Couldn't have asked for more. The boat was early, in great shape and we stayed out late. The lake was beautiful and yes we caught over 30 fish. Capt Steve was very professional we could be happier.
So happy to hear your trip was a success and was lots of fun
