Ce circuit emmène au monastère de Khor Virap, un endroit idéal pour contempler les vues les plus pittoresques du mont Ararat. Puis c'est le complexe monastique Noravank, qui est magnifique dans sa conception car de la Sainte Mère de Dieu est un monastère à deux étages. Le dernier arrêt est au monastère de Tatev qui est un centre spirituel ayant une signification importante scientifique et politique. Le monastère est entouré d'une nature magnifique. C'est là où vous pouvez prendre le téléphérique le plus long du monde sans arrêts – «Tatever».

Khor Virap est le lieu de pèlerinage le plus célèbre d'Arménie, car il est directement lié à l'adoption du christianisme. En tant que religion d'État, le christianisme en Arménie a été adopté en 301 en raison des efforts de saint Grégoire l'Illuminateur, qui, avant de convertir le roi Trdat Le 3 au christianisme, a été emprisonné dans le donjon, sur lequel une église du monastère de Khor Virap a été construite au 17ème siècle. Du monastère, on peut admirer la vue imprenable sur le mont biblique Ararat.
En passant par une route étroite, entourée de rochers de cent grottes, on découvre une scène d'harmonie de l'architecture avec la nature. Le monastère, enchâssé avec de belles solutions architecturales et des embellissements luxueux, est l'un des exemples les plus brillants de l'architecture arménienne du 13ème siècle. Noravank se compose des églises Saint-Karapet, Saint-Grégoire-l'Illuminateur et l'église Saint-Astvatsatsin (Sainte Mère de Dieu) à deux étages, qui est remarquable pour son travail constructif et sculptural idéal.
Les cloches de l'église sonnaient fort à Tatev le 16 octobre 2010, annonçant le lancement d'un programme de relance d'un complexe monastique médiéval et l'ouverture de "Wings of Tatev" Ropeway. Le téléphérique de 5,7 km, construit en 11 mois, traverse une profonde gorge de la rivière Vorotan et sur des collines, couvertes de forêts luxuriantes. Le tramway est soutenu par trois tours entre ses deux terminus. Un terminal se trouve sur une colline, surplombant le village de Halidzor et l'autre est près du monastère Tatev, sur la route du village Tatev. Deux cabines fonctionnent à la fois, voyageant dans des directions opposées. Il y a 6 câbles au total (3 pour chaque cabane), chacun prévu de manière unique pour les spécifications de ce projet. En 11 minutes environ, une cabane transporte les passagers, 30 à la fois, du village de Halidzor au magnifique complexe de Tatev.
Parmi les piliers architecturaux de Zangezour, le monastère de Tatev n'a pas ses "rivaux". C'était le monastère médiéval le plus riche d'Arménie. En plus d'être un centre religieux, Tatev était également le centre stratégique important du royaume de Syunik. Étant situé sur un lieu naturellement défendu, le monastère de Tatev a toujours été une forteresse imprenable pour les étrangers. Dans des conditions politiques instables, plusieurs voies secrètes sur le territoire de la forteresse menaient au canyon et servaient de lien entre le monastère et le monde extérieur.

Great tour and amazing guide and driver (Samvell and Spartacus)
I went on a tour to Khor Virap, Noravank and Tatev and it was one of the best days I had in Armenia. Our guide Samvel was amazing, full of knowledge, telling us interesting things about Armenia as we were driving and telling us a lot about the history of the places we visited. He also gave us detailed information at the stops, introducing us to Armenian heritage. The lunch brake was wonderful- we were eating at a local restaurant with delicious Armenian food and wine. I’m very pleased with informational as well as organizational part of my tour- our driver Spartakus was amazing, driving very carefully and for a long time. Bus was very clean and comfortable. The only minus was the length of free time in the monasteries- we had around 20 minutes for ourselves. It could be 5-10 minutes longer, but I totally understand from where it comes from- the schedule is very tight and intense in a good way! I totally recommend this tour, I’d love to go for another one with Hyur Services :))
We had a great experience on this tour with Semvan the tour guide and Spartacus the driver. It is the longest day tour of hyur. Everything was on time we felt relaxed. Sam gave us lots of interesting info of the sights and managed all special requests to fulfill. We are greatful for his kindness. Spartacus the driver had a very demanding job I think and he did it at maximum level. I offer everyone to participate in this day tour, don't be afraid of the length, it worth every minute!
Tour guide was very nice friendly and knowledgable. Restaurant for lunch was amazing. Just the length of the tour was long hence the way back was quite tiring and long. The bus made kind of noise which was annoying. But overall all good

Ok, so our whole day tour consisted of Khor Virap, Noravank, Tatev monasteries (wayback on Ropeway). We had Joseph as our driver who was excellent, and our tour guide Eduard who was just amazing. He was friendly, knowledgeable and made a very very long day enjoybale and one to remember. The meal was delicious! If you are thinking about this tour just go for it. The views were stunning.

This is by far the longest and most tiring trip but totally worth it. Ana is very knowledgeable about the places we visited. We’ve enjoyed our time with her. Araik, the driver is the superstar.
