Timings completely inaccurate. Kotor was 1hr which was very rushed, beach was 1hr 20 mins (not 3hrs) and other stops reduced time too. Boat was uncomfortable for the length of time on there.
What should have been an enjoyable experience turned into what can only be described as a serious health and safety nightmare. During the swimming, there was complete chaos, with people at risk of being crushed between boats while others were climbing over passengers in an attempt to reach their families. There appeared to be little control over the situation, creating genuine panic among those on board. The situation became so dangerous that the captain had to take immediate action by pushing the boat away to prevent passengers from being trapped. In my opinion, this intervention likely prevented a serious injury or even a fatality. This is not an exaggeration. Many passengers commented that they were astonished nobody was seriously injured or killed. Even the captain appeared visibly concerned by how quickly the situation escalated. It was a frightening experience that highlighted significant shortcomings in the organisation and safety management of the excursion. The boats were close to capsizing due to the amount of people on the boat. Close to 80 people I attached the photos so you don’t have to risk it.
Well organised trip. Our agent Snezana was super friedly, very professional and guided us which trip to book based on our days we had. We did Boka Bay and trip to Bosnia. To be honest if we had time we would have booked another trip. Thank You Senzana
Atlantix agency was great to book with. Our agent Snezana Sarac was really helpful, honest & gave us all the correct details. She was amazing & felt safe throughout our trip. The trip it self was amazing from the stat till the end. Was very well organised, the boat trip was fab, relaxed & met amazing people. A great trip to do! Thank you to the whole team
We had an amazing day on the Great Cruise from Budva to Boka Bay! Everything was well organized, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. The food served on the boat was delicious and freshly prepared. I highly recommend trying the fish—it was excellent and definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The crew and staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. You can truly feel that they work together like one big family, which creates a warm and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone on board. Thank you to Atlantix Travel for such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this cruise to anyone visiting Montenegro. It was one of the best parts of our trip, and we would gladly do it again!
Beautiful scenery. Lovely stops. Herceg Novi and Kotor are so nice. The bay is just stunning. It was difficult to hear the guide on the boat though as it was just over a speaker so passengers just talked over him which I did mention to the captain. He just said it's different cultures etc. At Kotor I was given vague instructions on where to find the coach back to Budva (only because I asked) and it wasn't where we were told so we had to ring the company and be sent the map location. Not sure how we would have known otherwise, apparently other passengers weren't told either and just guessed/kept walking further than where we were told.
It was a great way to spend a day, see beautiful Boka bay area and learn about Montenegros history. The boat was big and there was enough space in the sun and also in shadow. The guide was nice and professional and the boat staff was really nice. They didn't speak very good English thou. The food served on the boat was not very good. A tip: eat in one of the stops or take a takeaway meal with you. All in all the day was very nice. Only dissappontment was the extra trip to the Blue Cave. We were told that we might not get in the cave by boat due to the sea conditions but we could swim in it. On the site we didn't get in by boat or swimming. Other, smaller boats went in all the time. So we payed for nothing.
Itinerary doesn’t align from a timing perspective, it noted that we would have 2hrs in Kotor but when we arrived we were told we had less than an hour - there wasn’t enough time to explore the town and we felt rushed. We then went to Our Lady of the Rocks, again itinerary says 1hr 20 tons we had 25mins. Boat tried to dock and hit the pier, the dockmen told us they always have issues with this boat which didn’t fill us with a lot of confidence. We were then told there was an issue with the boat and had to wait about an hour for it to return - there was no apology from them. We were then told due to the weather we wouldn’t be able to go to the last two stops which is understandable however I would have expected some form of refund or offered to go another day. Instead we went to Tivat which was lovely, however again, we tried to dock and had issues, took about 15mins to get ashore - it seemed as though they were only learning how to dock. Guide was great when he chose to speak English, translated it Russian and Montenegrin but not in English on a few occasions. The boat itself was quite old in comparing to other boats we saw along the way. For the price, I would recommend booking elsewhere.
we had a great time it was a very well put together trip with some.amazing scenery which was quite breathtaking! lunch is served early before 12pm and given the curent roadworks and huge traffic delays making the day extremely long.we would suggest there needs to be more food offered of substance like pastries or filled rolls for the afternoon, or a longer afternoon stop to be able to get some food, as we didnt get back until 7.30pm and the nuts and crisps and whitebait snacks offered are not really enough for such a long day. The hosts are great with lots of knowledge and the boat really comfortable we would definitely recommend and do the trip again. Thank you!
The places are nice but the visiting hours too short. Firstly, the order of locations was changed, then all stay times were reduced to 30 or 60 minutes so that we would be back at 6pm, but why? Let's enjoy the beautiful places and then stop at 8pm. Food was not good and the stress too high. Could perhaps have done better on its own, especially for the high price.
