Grape Train Escape du Verde Canyon Railroad est un événement en soirée, comprenant une dégustation de vins à bord mettant en vedette des vignobles distincts de l'Arizona et d'ailleurs. À bord du « Grape Train Escape », les passagers se verront servir un échantillon de vins sélectionnés. Les clients pourront également profiter de fromages de spécialité et de hors-d'œuvre choisis pour accompagner les vins présentés. Des viogniers de chaque domaine seront à bord pour discuter du terroir et des techniques de vinification. Cet événement s'adresse aux passagers âgés de 21 ans et plus. Quoi de mieux que de savourer du vin tout en s'imprégnant des paysages du Sud-Ouest? Il s’agit d’un couple relativement nouveau pour la Verde Valley en Arizona, mais il gagne rapidement en notoriété en tant que belle région pour la culture du raisin. Profitez de voitures en plein air où le paysage riverain luxuriant de l'été, y compris les auvents de peupliers, les après-midis de mousson maussade et les falaises cramoisies profondes, complimente un bon verre de vin!
Au dépôt, n'oubliez pas de visiter le John Bell Museum, qui abrite l'histoire et les artefacts du chemin de fer depuis ses débuts, ainsi qu'une mine d'informations sur Clarkdale, Jerome et la nation Yavapai-Apache.
Le train circule sur les mêmes voies qui ont été créées à la suite de la rivière Verde en 1911. La rivière est visible pendant la majeure partie de votre voyage.
SOB Canyon et le pont de 150 pieds de haut sont les points forts du voyage. Regarder en arrière depuis le pont et le canyon est tout simplement magnifique!

Our second time on the train, first time doing a wine tasting on it. The train ride itself is wonderful and while it was somewhat cloudy at night so we couldn’t see stars, just being in the open rail car at night was awesome! The wine tasting was a lot of fun. Our bartender and our outdoor speaker were both a lot of fun. It’s definitely worth the cost to do this rail adventure!

If you get motion sick, I would hesitate, we had a little bit of a hard time with that. Otherwise, everything was so amazing. We are glad we went. The view was easier to handle from outside and the interior was really cozy. Staff was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of fun information along the entire trip. We were able to also enjoy the starlight sky, which was amazing from the outside car.

Enjoyed the ride although the return trip was in complete darkness so you couldn't see anything so that was sort of boring!

That the wines were not good nor did they offer a variety that would appeal to a person that likes a sweeter wine.
