The performance itself was good. But not as long as it was advertised and sold as. We bought a ticket saying ‘duration 1 h 15 min’. It lasted 45 min. And that was including a short break plus one extra. Not worth the price.
Very enjoyable. Very well worth the money. The singer and pianist were outstanding! We would do this again.
I had wished it was more songs that I was familiar with but the duo who performed were very talented and heartfelt. Take water with you - there is a few minute break but they don’t sell any beverages.
Perfect introduction to opera for our 10 year old daughter. She loved it. The soprano was unbelievable… so skilled, such a beautiful voice with incredible control, range, and passion! Our daughter couldn’t believe there were no microphones, that she could project so well. That said, the venue was perfect - intimate, beautiful, with wonderful acoustics. The pianist was wonderful too… flawless performance. Since it was only an hour long, it’s a nice introduction to opera for anyone who is new to it. We’re happy that our youngster is interested in attending a full opera sometime in future… and shorter performances like this are wonderful as well - more accessible, more intimate. Really enjoyed it.
I was amazed by his wonderful singing ability. The piano was also very good. The church situation was also a good memory to remember.
This was such a treat. It was a wonderful performance. We enjoyed it very much. Don’t miss it, even if you’re not an opera buff.
Attending the Great Italian Opera in Florence was an unforgettable experience! The performance was absolutely stunning, with talented musicians and incredible singers who brought the music to life in a way that left me in awe. The venue itself was beautiful, creating the perfect atmosphere for a night of opera. The orchestration, combined with the powerful voices, made the whole experience feel magical. The program featured some of the best Italian opera classics, and the passion and skill of the performers were truly captivating. Whether you're a seasoned opera lover or new to the art form, I highly recommend this experience. It’s a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the cultural heart of Italy while enjoying some of the world's most iconic music. A definite highlight of my time in Florence!
I stumbled upon the church purely by chance while exploring the area, and I’m so glad I did. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their friendly attitude convinced me to buy tickets for both concerts that evening. The first concert featured a beautiful selection of Italian opera performed in a truly enchanting setting. After a lovely dinner nearby, I returned for the second concert: Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. It was absolutely gorgeous . The musicians were incredibly talented, and the atmosphere very intimate. This spontaneous discovery turned into one of the highlights of my trip. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking it out — you won’t regret it!
