The sight of the Golden Temple at night is a must for any tourist. Despite being caught in the rain and being totally drenched we enjoyed the two hour tour. In addition to getting brilliant photos we learnt a great deal about the history of the temple and the history , teachings and practice of Sikhism from our guide Narinder, who we can highly recommend.
Thank you so much!!
Our visit to the Golden Temple was wonderful. Our guide, Bhawdeep, could not have been better. He gave us a lot of information and also guided us into the right line to access the temple very quickly. The whole experience of visiting the temple at night and then going to the ceremony after visiting inside the temple was just wonderful. Very magical and definitely not something to be missed. Everyone who comes to Amritsar should definitely take this tour. And also make a point of visiting the temple during the daytime too when the sunlight shines and you get another perspective
Thank you so much!!
It was really beautiful to see the Golden Temple lit up at night and learn all about the history of the temple and the Sikh traditions. Super cool experience!
Thank you for the super cool review!
Well, it’s an extremely beautiful building and extremely wonderful religion that he helps explain to the uninitiated. Rishi’s English is quite understandable and he’s very upbeat and enthusiastic and appreciative of the whole Amritsar complex. I really enjoyed watching the holy book , Garu Granth Sahib, go to bed for the day….quite the experience
Thank you for the kind words!
Guru was one of the best guides I've had. So knowledgeable about the Sikh religion, partly because his dad was a priest himself and so he grew up in the religious environment. He was so infectiously enthusiastic, and was ways trying to get us a good spot to watch the ceremony. We even managed to get into the Golden. Temple after the ceremony. He was going to take me through the kitchen, but because I had visited already and that I was feeling under the weather, we didn't go. Even missing the kitchen part, the tour was already overrun and Guru didn't mind at all. It really helped to have Guru there to explain what's going on in the ceremony. We had a good laugh as well about my flip flops! A very kind and generous man he is. Try to get Guru to be your guide. You won't regret it.
Thank you Fiona Mam for your kind recommendation for this tour guide!

Visiting the golden temple was our lifelong dream that brought us peace when walking through the years of faith and devotion. Our guide Sultan Singh is an amazing person who patiently narrated history and the importance of the faith and temple. We had an incredible experience visiting the temple. Thanks to the guide and driver.
Thank you mam for the kind words!
My guide was lovely to spend time with. Sultan Singh is smart, relaxed and very easy to understand. I enjoyed the temple and thought the tour was expensive for India but was worth the money.
Thank you so much for the kind words mam! We look forward to see you again!
Visiting the Golden Temple at night was one of the most powerful and memorable moments of my trip to Amritsar. The entire complex looked magical under the lights, with the golden reflection shimmering on the holy water—absolutely breathtaking. I attended the Palki Sahib ceremony, where the Guru Granth Sahib (the Sikh holy scripture) is respectfully carried from the main sanctum to the Akal Takht for the night. The ceremony is accompanied by soulful kirtan (hymns), drumbeats, and a moving sense of devotion from everyone present. It was peaceful, spiritual, and deeply touching. A special thank you to Rishi, my cheerful and polite guide, who explained the ceremony so clearly and helped me truly appreciate the significance behind every step. His presence made the experience even more special. I highly recommend everyone visiting the Golden Temple at night—it’s serene, spiritual, and something you’ll never forget.
Thank you so much for your kind words and a beautiful explanation of your experience at the golden temple and our elite guide rishi!!
