Parc national de Þingvellir – Un site du patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO où vous pourrez vous promener entre deux continents ! Explorez des paysages spectaculaires formés par les plaques tectoniques mouvantes d'Amérique du Nord et d'Eurasie. C’est aussi le site historique du premier parlement islandais, fondé en 930 après JC. Nous profiterons d'une promenade facile et pittoresque à travers la vallée du rift, entourée d'une nature magnifique et d'une histoire fascinante.
Geysir Geothermal Area – Nous allons passer environ une heure à explorer cet incroyable champ géothermique, qui abrite des sources chaudes bouillonnantes, des évents fumants et le célèbre geyser Strokkur, qui entre en éruption de manière impressionnante toutes les quelques minutes. Vous aurez le temps de vous promener dans la région, d'admirer la beauté naturelle et de capturer des photos incroyables. Nous profiterons également de notre déjeuner ici dans un restaurant voisin avec vue sur le paysage géothermique.
Cascade de Gullfoss – Connue sous le nom de « cascade dorée », Gullfoss est l’une des merveilles naturelles les plus emblématiques d’Islande. Vous assisterez à la puissante cascade à deux étages plongeant dans un profond canyon, créant des arcs-en-ciel brumeux les jours ensoleillés. Nous ferons une promenade le long des sentiers d’observation pour découvrir la cascade de près sous différents angles, et vous aurez tout le temps de prendre des photos et de profiter des vues à couper le souffle.
Kerid Crater – Un lac de cratère volcanique saisissant avec des pentes rouges et noires vibrantes entourant une piscine bleu profond au fond. Nous ferons une petite promenade autour de la jante, offrant une vue imprenable et des possibilités de photos. Vous pouvez également descendre au niveau de l'eau pour découvrir l'atmosphère paisible de l'intérieur du cratère. C’est un mélange parfait de géologie et de beauté – un véritable point fort du Cercle d’Or.

A great way to visit each of the top sites along the Golden Circle. Our driver picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off at each site, allowing us as much time as we wanted to enjoy each location. This was not a guided tour, but our driver, Valinca, had been to each location and was able to recommend the best way for us to spend our time at each site. We had an enjoyable time throughout the day and Valinca could not have been more helpful. He was also pleasant to visit with and helped make our day a great one!
The tour driver was flexible and courteous. He picked us up on time and dropped us off at the cruise terminal. A very nice day.

Sayer was fabulous and very professional . He picked us up at our cruise port in Iceland in a nice size clean van, and was 15 minutes early. He was waiting on us when we departed the terminal, help with our luggage, and very polite. He explained our itinerary for the day and showed us all the high points of Iceland. At the end of our tour, he delivered us to our hotel. I highly recommend Sayer.

We truly appreciate Viator of their full understanding and accommodating our group’s changes. The change was made in less than 12 hours before the trip. Taking a private tour was the way to go. See the beautiful sites without the rush or waiting for 40 people to get off the bus!!! The Golden Circle is a must see.

Our driver was very friendly, very accomodating and we felt safe with his driving. However, we certainly didn't get any knowledge of Iceland from him, we may as well have just booked a taxi to take us arouind. A friend went on one recently and also go a guide in with their tour, they learned all sorts. We thought that is what we were getting but sadly that was not the case.

The Golden Circle is a wonderful way to see a good portion of Iceland. We liked having a private tour person so we could be on our own schedule. Unfortunately, our guide, although a nice guy, was unable to provide any information about anything we were taken to or even whilst we had lengthy times in the car. We had to even ask where we were going next and how long would it take. He just dropped us off. No information about Iceland or the places we were visiting was offered. It was nearly $1,000 US $ and much too expensive to have a guide with no knowledge of what we were seeing. Disappointing to say the least. If you can get a guide who is from Iceland who knows the area instead of a person who is not from Iceland, you will have a better experience than us.

Driver was good, drove safely and pleasant. Charge was very high and included in Golden Circle is Blue Lagoon, a 15 minute ride from the airport. yet, Viator wanted to charge us an added $180 for drop off at airport that took the drive 15 minutes extra. Outrageous.
