John Paul, our driver and tour guide in the small group tour, was a wealth of knowledge. When we were at tour stop 8 instead of 9, I called Viator. The rep connected me with EastWest. They called driver John Paul. who picked up up at stop 8 so we got our Gold Circle tour!
We could not have asked for a better experience! Our guide, Sigfus Thor, was very knowledgeable and told us background about each stop. The tour wonderfully highlighted the beauty of Iceland.
Sigfus was excellent. He told a lot of great historical stories and also played music relevant to Iceland. I would definitely recommend him and this tour.
The landscapes of Iceland are unique and stunning. The tour gave us a glimpse of many fascinating aspects of the Iceland, the horses, the tomato farm, the geysers, craters, waterfalls. Absolutely breathtaking and different from British Columbia! LOVED it. The stop at the horses and tomato farm were very welcome :)
Yjran(sounds like yarrin) lost the spelling. He was most pleasant, personable and informative-not boring and easily understood! Our “Team Beautiful” were his priority and total tour fantastic! Would do it again.
My husband and I had an entertaining and educational day on our small group tour to the Golden Circle and Frioheimar Farm. Our guide Vjiron was amazing from the moment he picked up our group which he dubbed "Team Beautiful" because of our positive vibe. I enjoyed his commentary throughout the day ranging from history to Icelandic folklore. He didn't just have a script and often added little jokes and side stories to his extensive Icelandic history and geology. Vjiron also seemed genuinely interested in giving our group the very best experience he could, which we all appreciated! If you're visiting Reykjavik and looking for a good way to spend a day, book this trip and ask for Vjiron. You will not be disappointed!
Excellent day! Our guide, Sigfús Thor, was a wealth of information that he shared with humour. We've never had a guide before who played thematic music, and it was all by fantastic Icelandic artists. He was generous with his time and spent a lot of time explaining things and telling stories, in an accessible, interesting way, to our son. Highly recommend. The tomato farm (definitely have lunch here) and the Icelandic horses really added to the golden circle tour.
The tour was simply perfect! The minibus pickup was on time to the minute. Our driver and tour guide Sigfus Thor had a great dark sense of humor and made the trip not only very informative, but also seasoned with subtle humor. Simply super! The individual stops on this Golden Circle tour were very impressive (volcano, lagoon, geyser, Gullfoss, and Thingvellir) and we had plenty of time everywhere to look at and experience the different landscape structures without having to rush. One highlight followed another and I cannot even say what I liked best. We - my daughter and I - can wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone interested in nature. The 10-hour tour flew by and at the end we were sad that the tour was over so quickly. A special thanks to our excellent tour guide Sigfus Thor!
Excellent day long experience. Our tour guide Sigfus Thor was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and excellent. We saw a lot. Highly recommend!
Vjeran was friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. We had an older lady with us and he made sure that she was fully included in the entire experience. He made sure that all of us had ample time at each stop. He took the time to know all of our names. 100% recommend!!
