Vous rencontrerez votre guide local et commencerez cette visite d’Athènes en explorant la place Kotzia, située au cœur d’Athènes. La place est entourée de superbes bâtiments néoclassiques construits au début du 18ème siècle, ainsi que de quelques ruines anciennes de vieilles maisons que vous aurez un aperçu de votre chemin vers le marché.
Votre guide local vous fera découvrir le meilleur du marché central, vous emmènera dans des endroits peu fréquentés par les touristes et vous aidera à découvrir une variété de délicieuses spécialités grecques. Du simple koulouri (pain rond aux graines de sésame) et des pâtisseries locales délicates aux produits de base grecs à base de feta et d’olives, le marché central est un régal pour les sens.
Nous essayons également soit un café grec revigorant (en hiver), soit une frappe froide les jours les plus chauds, qui sont des boissons locales populaires. La cuisine d’Athènes est un riche mélange d’ancien et de nouveau, de traditionnel et de moderne, et cette visite est le moyen idéal pour découvrir tous ces aspects.
Ensuite, lors de cette visite culinaire d’Athènes, nous nous arrêterons à une épicerie grecque qui vend des produits traditionnels et qui est un lieu de magasinage populaire pour les habitants. Ici, vous pouvez discuter avec le propriétaire du magasin et lui poser des questions sur tous ses produits - et en goûter, bien sûr! Cet endroit vend les meilleurs plats de saison disponibles, ce qui est parfait pour un pique-nique en ville si vous souhaitez revenir une autre fois pendant votre séjour à Athènes.
Enfin, lors de votre visite à Athènes, vous vous dirigerez vers la place Monastiraki, où votre aventure se terminera. One of the best stores we’ve ever taken. Our tour guide George, (whom I highly recommend) was incredible. His knowledge about Athens the people the culture. The food was amazing. We got an insiders view of the city.

This tour is so special. We tasted many different types of food, sweets and real Greek coffee. The food was amazing and truly unique to Athens! I cannot say enough good things about Nikoleta. She is warm, kind, knowledgeable and a great story teller! She makes you feel that you’re out with a friend. Very highly recommend!

We like to do a walking food tour the first day in any new country and this food tour did not disappoint. The food was amazing and Nikoleta took us to places we would have never found on our own. I had the best beans of my life (no exaggeration). They were fantastic! Nikoleta was knowledgeable, fun, and full of wonderful recommendations. I highly recommend this food tour and request Nikoleta!!!

Nickolita meet us at a plaza in Athens and took us to many food establishments around the area. We were served excellent food to eat and they gave us large amonts of food to taste. The portions were so large we always had food left over. Nickolita spoke perfect english and has a great personality. She was the perfect tour guide. It was a great experience.
We met our tour guide, Charlotte Mich, near the main markets of Athens and she took us through the meat and fish areas as well as the antiquities area and streets with spices, oils and herbs. There was so much to see and she was really informative and engaging in all we saw. We also went to areas to eat that a tourist would not necessarily go to and had the most delicious Meze and ouzo not to mention tasting different oils and olives in specialist shops. We both really enjoyed our tour and I loved seeing how different the way of life and shopping is in Athens compared to our own. Would highly recommend this tour just please make sure that you do not eat first!!

We certainly ate and drank our way round Athens. We went to lots of places we probably would not have got to normally and really enjoyed seeing a real part of Athens life.
My husband and I were on our honeymoon and this was the last tour we did before leaving Greece. Demi was an amazing tour guide. She helped us to experience the culture and authentic tastes of Greece. We would definitely recommend this tour.
