Goût du Camino de Santiago

Description

Débora was an excellent guide - she was engaging and paced the hike well. The countryside was peaceful and charming, and the forest trail by the river lovely. The up/downhill hike was manageable with proper footwear. Thanks for showing us a slice of the camino, Débora!
Thank you so much for this kind review! I hope you enjoyed Asturias and will come back one day!
My husband and I very much enjoyed our Taste of the Camino de Santiago tour with Debora of intoAsturias. She was very knowledgeable, kind, and flexible, adjusting the tour to our needs. This experience was the highlight of our visit to Oviedo!
It was really nice to know you and to see that it was the highlight of your trip. Muchas gracias!
our guide shared her experience of living in Spain with her husband & child. we were lucky to see the parade of the Americas in Oviedo after our hike. Wonderful day!
Excellent guide, with plenty of knowledge of the area. It was a wonderful experience. This taste of the Camino will make you want to walk it all.
Our guide was excellent, very informative and caring! I would highly recommend this trip!!!♡ A experience of a lifetime!
Hi Sylvia, thanks so much for this feedback! And please, let me know your address, as I still want to send you your pilgrim passport!!!
Debora was a wonderful guide. She had great communication with us before our walk offering to adjust at anytime if required as I had knee problems a few weeks before we were due in Oviedo. The walk was quite challenging in parts but we were so glad we did it as the scenery was amazing. Can’t recommend this walk or Debora enough.
Rebecca was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. She accommodated our time frame and needs to make the walking experience memorable. I highly recommend this experience if you do not have much time to immerse in the Camino experience.
This is a great tour! Highly recommend it for anyone who would like a 1/2 day walk to learn more about the Camino. Debora is an excellent tour guide. She provided historical and cultural information about Oviedo, Asturia, Spain, and the Camino. Participants receive the Camino "passport" and will receive several stamps from stations along the route. Debora ensured that we walked at our pace, taking breaks as needed and stopping at bars/restaurants along the way for a drink or snack or to use the bathroom. My wife, who was a little concerned about being able to walk 12 km, completed the trek. Debora also provided great information for those who are contemplating hiking a full Camino.
Thanks a lot for this great feedback! I am really curious whether you will do a full Camino one day, and already wish you "Buen Camino" for that!
The highlight of my trip - beyond seeing my daughter who just moved to Oviedo - was this guided Camino hike with Debora. She is just an outstanding guide: highly informative about the Camino, Asturias, local foods and even Spanish history. Debora was helpful, too, in suggesting other must see Oviedo/Asturias venues. They don't get any better than Debora. We'll be looking her up on our next trip here in February.
Dear James, Thank you SO much for these very kind words! I really enjoyed getting to know you too and hope to see your daughter playing in the coming months! And perhaps, we see each other again in February!
What a great tour! Debora met my niece and I at the designated starting point and we set out on the streets of Oviedo toward the countryside following the Camino Primitivo. Debora shared interesting bits about Oviedo, it’s history and about Asturias. She was easy to talk with, very knowledgeable about the Camino and the ways of the pilgrims making the journey. The route was a perfect little taste of the larger Camino, and it was so nice to get out into the hills outside of Oviedo and experience the nature of Asturias. She even had Trail Passports for us which we stamped at one of the spots along our walk. We ended the walk at a lovely little cafe, had a much appreciated cold drink, followed by a cab ride right back to our hotel. If you want to see a bit of the lovely country outside Oviedo, I highly recommend taking a walk with Debora.
Thank you so much for these lovely comments, Liz! It was great to get to know you and get the suggestions and tips from your side as well. I hope you had a lovely time in Asturias!
