La cascade Goðafoss est l'une des plus belles cascades d'Islande. Surnommée la Cascade des Dieux en raison de son histoire. En l'an 1000, Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði fit du christianisme la religion officielle de l'Islande et entreprit de jeter ses statues de dieux dans la cascade. L'eau tombe d'une hauteur de 12 mètres sur une largeur de 30 mètres.
Profitez d'une brève introduction à la ville d'Akureyri, en traversant la vieille ville et en apprenant quelques faits clés sur l'histoire de la ville.
Profitez d'une promenade dans l'un des jardins botaniques les plus septentrionaux au monde, situé juste en dessous du cercle polaire arctique.

Informations sur le ramassage Si vous arrivez à Akureyri par bateau de croisière, assurez-vous de nous avoir fourni le nom de votre navire, car il y a plusieurs ports à Akureyri. Port de Tangabryggja : Juste à l'extérieur de la zone des bateaux de croisière, vous verrez plusieurs petites maisons en bois. Star Travel est situé à la maison numéro 3, et nous vous y retrouverons. Oddeyrarbryggja Port : Juste à l'extérieur du navire, vous trouverez une boutique de vêtements de glace. À côté se trouve la zone réservée aux agents, où tous les agents de voyages attendent leurs clients. Nous serons là avec un panneau Star Travel. Cherchez un de nos collègues portant une veste jaune vif. Si vous séjournez à Akureyri, assurez-vous d'avoir sélectionné le bon hébergement pour la prise en charge. Enfin, assurez-vous que le numéro de téléphone que vous avez fourni est joignable au cas où nous devrions vous contacter pour des mises à jour ou des changements.

This was the third tour we booked though Viator on our cruise around Iceland and not as well organised. We had booked to see the Godafoss waterfall and the botanical gardens. The tour company that Viator had chosen, subcontracted the booking to another tour company that was only going to the waterfall. We had to request to be dropped off at the botanical gardens. There was no guided tour and we had to ask the driver to pick us to return to the ship. Having said that the drive to the waterfall and the waterfall itself was very interesting and the driver/guide very good and helpful. This tour was expensive (even for Iceland) and when I asked about the price I was told it was taxes and tunnel tolls, but we did not go through the tunnel. We did find out the previous day from Tourist information that there was a free bus to the waterfall and that the botanical gardens was free entrance and walking distance from the cruise terminal. So, we feel very strongly, nice as it was to see the two attractions, the price was exorbitant and feel we should get at least a 50% refund

We always try to be flexible and offer alternatives whenever possible to make the experience as enjoyable as we can. The tour is great. The waterfall and the gardens are beautiful. I would recommend the tour if there was another operator. Our problem was the tour operator. They left us stranded at the gardens and did not answer their phone. Viatour was very helpful and processed a refund and gave us information about returning to our ship.

We’re sorry to hear about the frustration you experienced, but we would like to clarify that our tours operate on a set schedule to ensure all guests can enjoy their time and return safely and punctually. Unfortunately, when guests are not back at the designated meeting point on time, the tour must continue as scheduled. Our team did attempt to reach out, but as we must also respect the schedules of other guests, we could not delay the entire group.
Bathroom lines at the falls are really long, and you must pay. By the time we went to the falls and walked up to the bathrooms there wasn’t enough time to wait in line, so I couldn’t go. Suggest adding about 15 minutes to the time.

Wonderful tour. Our guide/driver was very knowledgeable. The meeting place was easy to find and the tour was the perfect amount of time. The waterfall was amazing and the botanical gardens were beautiful. We were fortunate to have spectacular weather which definitely made a difference for this particular tour.

Listen carefully to pick up instructions. Driver lost people twice! First time, van moved 1/4 mile away and driver left, making it difficult to find correct pickup spot. Second stop, driver locked vehicle and went to chit-chat with other drivers, leaving passengers waiting in the cold. The falls were amazing. The botanical garden was a free city park.

Great tour! The local guide, was the best told lots of interesting information not only about the falls and gardens but also Iceland/ Akureyri . The coffee shop in the garden was very pleasant.

This was a great little excursion. Our guide was funny, flexible, and very informative. The falls were worth seeing. After the tour our guide gave us the option to walk through town back to the ship, and we happily did!
