Gloires de la Turquie 12-Day From Istanbul

Our guide - Irem and driver - Murat were amazing and this was an excellent tour. Irem was friendly, knowledgeable with a good sense of humour. Murat was ver friendly and great driver. Transport was spacious, new and very comfortable. Hotels were great - especially in Cappadocia. Saw amazing sights, ate lots of delicious local foods that Irem and Murat would recommend. Tour was an excellent balance of things to see and highlight was balloon ride in Cappadocia and the Whirling Dervish’s. Irem and Murat were always punctual, everything ran like clock work with them, but with enough flexibility for us. Highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in history and culture.

My husband and I have just returned from 12 day tour 'Glories of Turkey'. What a wonderful time we had. As the only two people on the tour ( everyone else who booked had cancelled) we felt very special. Our tour guide, Tamer was very friendly, knowledgeable and respectful while our driver, Mustafa was a friendly and careful driver. Both very reliable and time wise. Tamer was also happy to adjust some aspects of the tour (as we were only 2) free time, shopping etc. to suit us. The Turkish people are so lovely we just enjoyed sitting and being in their company and watching the world go by. And the food!! Thanks Fez.

The sites we visited were awesome. An excellent introduction to Turkey. A highlight of the tour for me was the 3 days on a gulet boat. The weather was perfect and we swum up to 4 x a day. The chef on board cooked delicious tasty meals and there was more than enough. Tamer our guide was thoughtful to start our day early so that we missed the crowds and the intense afternoon heat. Accomodation along the way was good as were the breakfasts. I had the misfortune of my luggage being lost but our guide Tamer helped me to complete the application for compensation and phoned the baggage office everyday for me. Our driver was professional and I never felt unsafe. The bus had great air conditioning and darkened window against the heat.

Our guide Fatih Karci was great as was our driver Murat. We had an excellent group of only 5. The historical sites were excellent. And most of the accommodation was also good. None of us thought much of the Nidya in Istanbul - it stunk of cigarette smoke it was very tired and not iof good standard and most of the staff were very indifferent. There was one very nice lovely young lady on our final evening though. I would biggest accommodation in Sultanahmet as everything is right there. The historical sites visits were excellent as was the hit sir ballooning but we didn’t like the hard selling especially the heather garments - it was awful !!

I did the 13-day 'Wonders of Türkiye with gulet' tour, and what an incredible experience it was. I was thoroughly engaged from Day 1 to Day 13. Our guide was Halil and our driver was Akim until we got to Cappadocia. Halil was charming and his knowledge and passion for this wonderful country was the icing on the cake. Always calm, always ready to answer our endless questions, ever respectful and seemingly tireless. I left my phone at Dolmabahçe Palace on Day 1 and Halil phoned and discovered it has been found and made sure I got it back again in the rush before closing. Akim was a good and careful driver and he and Halil were a great team. Our group was comprised of varying fitness levels and I was impressed by Halil's skill in managing us all with his ever patient manner. The highlight for me was learning about the history of the ancient civiIisations that all contributed over millenia to current day Türkiye. I highly recommend this company.

Our tour guide was Fatih Karci who expertly managed our 11 person tour to great effect. We have one difficult member of the tour who challenged Fatih on a daily basis and appeared intent on disrupting the group.He managed this person with aplomb and skill and the rest of us had uninterrupted touring pleasure. I commend him on his professionalism and recommend him to you if you have a choice. We were entertained and educated and always amused. Thank you Fatih. Both you and Turkey exceeded our expectations.

10 stars from Mark and Julie. Tour guide Omar introduced us to Istanbul showing us the main tourist sites as well as some little known gems! This was great way to orientate ourselves to this bustling but amazing city. We commenced our tour with the brilliant Tamer and driver Hasan. Tamer’s passion for his country was palatable and his knowledge of history, culture, mythology and even agriculture was first rate!! What an asset to the Fez team!! Our second leg of the tour was with Irem and driver Ilhan! Irem was again highly knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful, a delight to be around with a beautiful smile that was always there!! Gallipoli was closed due to the recent fires on our first leg which was a major disappointment but not fault of Fez. Irem suggested we do a private tour and made all the made arrangements for when we returned to Istanbul and boy we are so glad we did this. Our tour guide, Fa (and driver Sayfo), went out of their way to get me as close as possible to where I knew my grandfather fought at Gallipoli - a little known spot called Ryries Post. We loved Turkey and will be back to do another tour with Fez! Fez, you are so lucky to have such wonderful people on your team!

What a fantastic trip. Our tour guide "G" made our journey one to remember with some very memorable moments. He was very informative about the various regions we visited. We learned so much about the history and important facts about all of Turkey as well as the areas we explored. So interesting. We were thankful for G's insight with our planned trip to Ephesus. He knew that 3 cruise ships would be in the port that day, with a big percentage of these people likely to be visiting Ephesus, plus the temperature was going to be around 38°C in the port and around 42°C in Ephesus itself. So with our permission, he changed our schedule (easy to do in a small group tour). We spent a most amazing day on the water. Stopping at a few coves to swim. This included a delicious lunch onboard. We then headed to Ephesus and arrived as the sun was setting. What a magical experience, seeing the artefacts lit up at night. This day was definitely the highlight of our travels so far. I would recommend this to everybody if they can organise an evening visit. This tour included breakfast and dinners and every meal was excellent. Good quality food and really delicious Our driver was also very friendly and courteous. He and G made this trip one of the best we have done.

This is great tour to see the highlights of Turkey. Itinerary very well planned. Our tour was fone in 2 parts but it went seamless Can and Hakim; Irem and Seyfullah our guides and drivers were very helpful and friendly. Special mention to Irem my dress buddy and all the laughs we had, All the hotels were good except the hiccup at Nidya hotel where we had a double bed instead of twin beds.
