Description

Not recommended

Tour was to a shallow wreck that the boat hovered over for a bit and the mate did a good job of giving some back ground on the wreck, but we were not able to snorkel on it. We then went to a beach to snorkel, which honestly, was lame. It basically consisted of snorkeling on some sand. Everyone got bored of that fast and got back on the boat. There was not a plan to snorkel anywhere else so the captain just slow trolled back to the marina. If it would have been explicitly explained that we were going to hover over a wreck for a few minutes and then go snorkel on some sand in 5 feet of water, I would have definitely passed on this experience. The ride back was, in my opinion, unprofessional. The captain was vaping while flirting with the mate who was sitting/standing beside him. Both captain and the mate were more interested in each other than the charter. Way too much money for a sub par experience - just being honest.

Good afternoon, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we are sorry that you did not enjoy your tour on 4 July. As the crew explained to you, we never snorkel on the HMS Vixen, as it is a high-traffic area with a considerable current and therefore not a safe site to snorkel. The Glass Bottom and Snorkel tour specifically goes to a shallow, inshore site and is recommended for beginners. In the future, if you would like to snorkel a shipwreck, I suggest booking the Shipwreck Snorkel - that tour goes to an offshore site with two wrecks! On that day, your snorkel site was King’s Point, a common choice for an inshore snorkel. You are correct that there is a beach and a sandbar. However, you were not instructed to snorkel over the sand. The area for snorkelling was indicated to you, and the deckhand offered twice to take you around the island to access even more shoreline reef, but you declined. Our crew all maintain a cordial relationship and certainly will converse with each other intermittently over the course of the tour. However, the deckhand was standing up with the captain on the ride back because she was pointing out turtles to the guests, including your daughter. She was also happy to answer guests’ questions during this time, including chatting with your daughter extensively. I apologise if you misconstrued the behaviour on behalf of either of the crew as ‘flirting’, but what you witnessed was simply two employees interacting with guests and with each other. Finally, I would like to sincerely apologise that the captain was vaping in front of you. This is certainly not permitted and has been corrected. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention! We hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Bermuda!

fun

fun to get on the water. fun to head to a shipwreck. bow is still sticking out of water. Jesse, the 1st mate was great. doing everything to make us all welcome. snorkeling in a cluster of islands was fun. captain could cut some jokes and give more info during his talking the whole ride out

Fun & educational too

Great boating experience, saw a lot of interesting coral & learned a lot about it. Saw a neat shipwreck as well. Enjoyed the snorkeling, but saw the best fish close to the harbor…

Great experience that I highly recommend

If I were to visit Bermuda again, I would definitely go on another excursion with this team. Zoe, Kat and Dani did an outstanding job of making our trip enjoyable and entertaining. They were thorough, well informed and safety oriented. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thanks for a great experience!

Snorkel and Sip

Glassbottom and snorkeling cruise was really lovely. The weather was perfect, the staff knowledgeable and funny. Rum swizzle the best price on the island, was just a chilled time whether you snorkeled or just sat off in the sun and watched the beautiful views. Definitely reccomend.

GAVY and Amiri Rock the boat!

This is an informative glass bottom boat tour, you get basic snorkeling experience (don’t touch the coral!) and a fine rum swizzle after you’re done! You can jump off the top side of the boat, too! The guys have a good sense of humor, are good with small children and make you feel appreciated while providing a bit of history about the flora and fauna of the island!

Great Tour, Learn about Bermuda and see the fish!

Great experience! Captain Gabby and the crew took this tour to the next level. They were knowledgeable, entertaining, and always kept a smile on everyone's face. From start to finish, they made the trip both fun and informative. They took us to a beautiful reef where we saw plenty of colorful fish while snorkeling. The crew did an excellent job explaining how to use the provided flotation vest, mask, and fins, making everyone feel comfortable and confident in the water. If you're visiting Bermuda on a cruise ship, this excursion couldn't be easier. The boat is just a two-minute walk from the cruise dock, making it incredibly convenient. Step aboard and you're off on a great Bermuda adventure. My wife and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing way to experience Bermuda's amazing waters.

Snorkel and Swim with Zoey

Zoey and James were awesome. If I was there another day I would have done the same excursion. We actually saved a turtle during this adventure.

We had a great time! Zoey, Dani and Avery were funny and clever as they taught us about Bermuda and its coral reef.
